BAMBAM has connections to LSUs construction crews you could only dream of Rummel!

It doesn't really matter to me but if you ever go into the stadium in the bowl go all the way to the top and see if the buildings are connected. They are separate structures. If the bowls were blown up then they upper decks would be standing on those big arse columns you see outside.

I worked w/ the TAF construction Manager that oversaw the construction of the West-side from design, demo, then to about when they had the structure up to about 90' so you could probably say that. Then I graduated.

I graduated in construction management, so I guess my opinion has merit too.

do you know how dumb all that sounds?

do you realize that they said all that to be able to sell TAF beer and the general public cokes?

Well I actually was part of the design meetings and I have reviewed the drawings so you could understand that I might understand how the damn thing was built.

alcohol being served inside the stadium is how tiger stadium got its reputation back in the day.

I went to one of the Saints games in TS after Katrina, and it was awsome to be able to "legally" have alcohol in you position while watching the game.

Dude, we understand how it was built. We've all been there and seen it. We know they are separate structures. That's why they can sell alcohol in the boxes, we knew that already. Samething with LSU baseball, the boxes aren't considered part of the stadium. Thanks for groundbreaking news. That really isn't even the point. We are talking about sale of alcohol in general seating.

They are go - stand underneath the stadium and look at columns and beams. Then go inside the stadium and walk all the way to to top of the inner bowl and look at how raker beams come off of the columns. That would be the concrete structure that the precast treads and risers (the floor) sit on then tell me if they are separate structures or not.

Do we need a construction management board?

Actually wouldn't be a bad idea when something like the new Box was being built or any other major renovation.

Not according to Herb.

But, apparently, he doesn't have his facts straight.

It's actually a university rule not an SEC rule. Sorry for the confusion but I specifically remember it coming up in meetings and them having to figure out a way around it...

This is from the LSU Sports Website:

Beverage Policy (Alcohol)
Policy: The possession or consumption of alcohol in the general seating areas of Tiger Stadium is expressly prohibited by University policy. Stadium personnel and law enforcement officials will enforce this policy.
Reason: In an effort to encourage an enjoyable experience for all fans in Tiger Stadium, persons who are intoxicated or who are in possession of alcohol will be removed from the stadium.

So Herb was correct in everything he said except about it being "easier to control" - it's so that the rich people will buy there suites.
