Am I the only one who doesn't like this idea? Saban knows football, but I don't think he relates to the players in this "NIL" era.

In the past, he could "scare" the players into giving 100 percent effort by letting them know the NFL will call him to see about their work habits, character, etc.

Now, some players are fine with getting 500,000 and going through the motions - making sure they don't get hurt before the draft, even though their draft could be years away.

For most players, they think 500,000 is generational money.

Saban coached Bama to a 12-2 (8-0 SEC) record and playoffs semifinal less than 2 years ago.

The idea of not wanting a 7 time national champion coach is insane. Apparently the rumors are $30m/yr for NIL as well.
