The question is not if he will start but if he stays.

We will test that ankle out early and often. Dave is no dummy. He knows that if we knock Tua out of the game our chances of winning go way up.

I don’t think he starts. I think Tua will be held in reserve and used if needed.

Guessing they will keep the called QB runs to a minimum, but the kid is a competitor to the max. If pressured, he will take off. One good shot on the ankle & he could be done. Never want to see an injury, but I think the staff is pressing his return & deserve what they get.

Have you seen a pass rush from LSU this year that makes you think he’ll be hit often?
I haven’t.

Dave will call a safety blitz or something exotic early to test just how good his ankle is. He knows it's worth it early to give up a big play if it cost Alabama Tua for the rest of the game.

I’m not convinced Aranda will test him. Did he test Trask? Did he test Nix? Not really.

Aranda is a bend don’t break DC. He seems absolutely set not to have any chance of giving up a big play, so much so that he hasn’t blitz as much as in the past it seems.

You really think Aranda will test him early and often? What would make you believe that? Lsu hasn’t had much of a pass rush at all and it’s had almost 0 in the first half of games. It sounds good in theory but I wouldn’t bet on it.

I hate the bumps as much as anyone, but posts like this suck. I hope he is 100% healthy and plays a great game and we still beat their arse.

I think Tua comes out and they try to score early and often pushing the tempo and if they can get a multiple posession lead possibly start trying to get him rest by having Mac in for a few series.

Let Tua start it don’t matter!! He can’t win big games!! He does not have Jalen Hurt to bail him out this year. Look at the Georgia game and against Clemson he couldn’t do it and Saban was pissed at Jalen. We put pressure on him, he will be shook!!
