not to mention he is getting 7 yards a pop running just QB draws...straight up the middle....

be creative and who knows how much his YPC could go up

How many times in your opinion should he be touching the ball? I like shep, i dont see why he should get more than 5-6 touches a game myself

he's our most effective runner, he needs to get over 12 touches a game IMO and needs to be on the field a lot more.

he would be great for the fullback role in the wildcat with Williams/Trindon/Laffel/ Tolliver in the motion role.

I didn't like Miles' answer to why they don't run this

Percy Harvin had 75 touches as a freshman. Jeffery Demps had 93 touches as a freshman. Given Shep's ability appears to be on par, an average of 6 to 8 touches a game for the year would be OK by me.

I guess people think Shep is percy harvin. Did he get that many touches while at Florida?

Pure spread qb's carry up to 15-18 times a game. You cant do that in the SEC..Tebow is just a big animal back there. Even he had to lay low on the Carries.

les already responded this today supposedly

said there weren't enough touches for shep, and that we had to establish the running game inside

This is bull

He said they are loading up the box on Shep

Well duh? let the man chunk it down field

We have to start getting aggressive with the football... I understand ball security, but we are about to play teams that can score a lot of points

I just don't understand our offensive philosophy at all. It is almost like we have know answer if a team make an adjustment. If your formations are so predictable that the defense knows that Shep is going to run every time that he is in the game, then mix things up.

Why not run the wildcat with JJ still in the game? Run RS in motion like Arkansas used to do with Felix Jones. That way you can hand if off to RS and let him run to the wide side of the field (not the short side like they do to pen in TH). Have KW in beside JJ for dives up the middle or option plays. JJ can always pass when they start to load the box. Then you can always send JJ out as a WR and have RS take the snaps. With JJ, RS, KW, BL, and TT in the game. The offensive options should be limitless.

I still think that Urban Meyer was referring to this staff last year when he said that there were plenty of teams with as much speed as UF but they just didn't know how to utilize it.

I sure hope they do something this weekend to prove me wrong!

I am hoping that we will see more innovation out of the staff than the old QB draw that we have been using.

pretty safe to assume he wont be returning punts anymore. punt return tds take away valuable runs up the middle.

and that's on a team with a good offense.....we don't have one, no reason in the world shepard shouldn't get the ball at least 10 times a game, and why can't he be in there around the goaline, is there something wrong with having a wildcat of some sort out there around the goalline?
