I think that all 3 QBs will get a chance against the Hurricanes... whichever one performs best will be given the nod as starter. That said, I expect McMillan & Brennan to get their opportunities first.

You'd think just one yr we could trott out an above avg offense and defense.
We are always top heavy one way or the other it seems.
Players leaving early for NFL draft is as big a reason as any.

Basing on what I saw yesterday Narcisse is the clear #3 qb. I think everyone is dying for Brennan to take over the job including me. If they had to play a game tomorrow though I'd have JM as the starting qb for sure.

Really need narcisse or Brennan to improve and take the job.

Time for O to grab a junior QB commit to be the new savior of LSU football. THIS 16 year old is different than the rest. Just you wait

I think a case could be made for both Brennan or Narcisse to be #3 - neither one looked too good. That said, I think that O was planning on Brennan being the starter this season, which means that he still might get first shot -- with McMillan next in line. Wouldn't surprise me to see Narcisse leave, if he senses the writing on the wall. He's been sitting for 3 years now and he just wants to play.

Then he should bust his arse and get better as a passer and get good rhythm and timing with his receivers.

What scared me most about Narcisse was his pocket presence. If he wasn't wearing that gold jersey he would have been obliterated yesterday and his long td pass wouldn't have happened.

JMO...No, it won't. As soon as one struggles, another will be trotted out.

The only way all 3 play against Miami is if 2 of them get hurt. This isn't t-ball where everybody is required to play.

If we use 3 QB's against Miami either out of necessity or design we are in deep trouble. O might as well put that new house back up on the market.

That was kinda the point

I think the biggest part of it is for the last 10 or so years LSU has never figured out what it wants to be on offense. Post 2008 LSU was an extremely risk-averse, pro-style offense. Yet they kept recruiting QB's who were somewhat mobile, but not great running QB's who could also throw, albeit with much inconsistency. They recruited guys who were probably better in a spread offense, yet made them play under center. They kept trying to have a little bit of everything and ended up great at nothing. The only year that wasn't the case was when they were forced to have an identity -- 2013. Mettenberge was a pure pocket passer. So they had no choice but to be a strictly pro-style offense. They melded that with two NFL WR's and a NFL OC, and it worked. They the next year the identity crisis took over again.
Same thing this year. Brennan and Narcisse could not be more different QB's, yet you are trying to have them run the same offensive style. Last year Ogeron went with Canada because he was still in "salesman" mode and wanted whatever appeased the masses.
Pick an offensive philosophy. Recruit to fit that mold and run it. If you want to be a spread offense with a mobile QB (ala Clemson). Then name Narcisse (or McMillian) the starter and go all in on that plan. If you want to be a more traditional pro-style offense, then stick Brennan at the helm and go all in. Quit trying to do a little bit of everything.

Not having a clear cut starter after the spring game is a recipe for disaster.

I am betting on MB taking the first snap but I like what I saw Justin do yesterday - him and LN will become the talk of BR as we all know we love to talk about the next HC and the back-up QB in BR.

That's not how it works bro

we will have a starter
He will be the man
They will put some RPO's in for LN and we should see him in almost every game along with JM if MB turns out to be the starter

If we don’t have a clear starter for Miami, we are in bigger trouble that I thought.
It’s not like we open against Southeastern and we can trot all 3 guys out there as see who plays the best and still win.
If we are experimenting against the ‘Canes, go ahead and just write this season off.
