Alleva, f the king, mark Martin. Waited too long to fire miles. We had bad presidents in the 90’s like Durante and bud davis. Make bad hires and you have major problems.

Do you guys NOT remember how the fans reacted to Alleva when he tried to hold Wade accountable back when all this started... 2017???

Do we forget the Texas A&M game where the fans basically wanted to keep Les Miles.

We didn't have any of the facts at that point, but Alleva was the bad guy. And Miles had been in trouble and reprimanded numerous times about his interactions with the co-eds, recruting ladies, etc.... all of that was kept kinda quiet....

And then Wade was out here paying folks with his own bank accounts and getting caught on wire taps with his LSU cell phone....

And all anyone wanted to do was be mad at Joe Alleva.

Imagine how much embarrassment could have been saved if Joe would have been given the authority to $hit-can Les (who had already slipped down to 9 wins) ... or if they would have fired Wade for not even cooperating at all with LSU administration back in 2017 when it all started.

Like him or not... but Joe Alleva clearly had his hands tied.

Right. And Woodward is the guy who gets to clean up all of these messes....

And look who he's hired so far?????

I'll sit back and wait and see who he hires as Men's Basketball coach and how well he negotiates/ softens our NCAA sanctions.

You're missing OP's point. The NOA is not just related to basketball it also has football roped into it. The fact that we were breaking rules (in a fashion that was easily traceable), covering up domestic abuse, etc. is because we had weak leadership.

You're right that Alleva couldn't fire Wade and that is because at the time there was no evidence and no real NCAA involvement. LSU needed to wait until the NCAA cracked down to fire Wade or they would have wound up in messy litigation over a buy out and who knows what would have surfaced.

The problem isn't that Alleva didn't fire Wade in 2019, the problem is that he and F King Alexander had no control over anyone.

This.

And we lost Saban and Radakovich with Skip at the helm. Chew on that.

Sure couldn't, but he sure has them playing good, disciplined basketball the last part of the year. He led them to more wins over sec teams than Wade, and more wins over top sec teams than Wade.

To answer your question, I don't know who a&m plays or when, and dgaf. I simply like the sec to be well represented and a&m was playing as well or better than anyone down the stretch.

Nick Saban wanted to try the NFL. Bertman didn’t lose him.

Skip made no effort to keep Saban. And well known that Nick didn't like Skip.

2 + 2

A strong "what can I do for you Nick" AD would have been helpful.

FYI, there have been calls for the firing of every AD since at least the early 80s.
