Take a look at your posts. Take a look at my posts. We'll let the people decide who is more rational.
It's not even close, btw.

you have a mighty high opinion of yourself. youre one of the biggest kool aid drinkers on here. other than his over the top posting style, at least dukke v doesnt have his head in the sand. now go post some more stats of how good LSU has been so far against that tough schedule filled with obstacles such as travel and rain.

About what?
The offensive line that I voiced my disappointment in? Or the running game that I said I'm troubled by? Or the special teams errors that I stated are unacceptable?
Are those the things that I've "stuck my head in the sand" to not see?
Your post makes no sense if you read my OP, which you obviously did not.

LSU cant beat the big boys in conference without capitalizing on the TO's. You can get away with it when the talent on the other side isn't comparable, but with equally talented teams looming this is absolutely has to change.
I actually think LSU plays well this weekend, I think the players get hyped for the 1st true test of the season.

Peej remember the bet, you quit posting on TD for one month if Georgia loses this week.

I think that's what we're all hoping for ... we shall see come Saturday.
My brain says I gotta give the edge to Georgia since it's a tough place to play, talent on both teams is pretty equal, and we haven't won over there in a long, long time (granted, we haven't played there much.) My brain says Dogs 27-LSU 20
My heart says LSU finally gets some things going and we finally see some fire and passion from the players and coaches and we win 31-20

I basically agree on all points.
The bottom line is that we have to play better football. We still haven't put all the pieces together, but we are still 4-0. Outside of Florida, Bama, and Texas there hasn't hardly been a team that can claim that.
I prefer being 4-0 LSU than any of the 3-1 teams. We are not a great football team, but winning is better than losing. Just ask Ole Miss and Arkansas. Again, we have to get better. I am also waiting to see that fire and excitement that I have yet to see.
The only part I somewhat disagree is calling the previous games "preseason". I understand it is hard to get excited about playing Moo State in Starkville, in the rain at 11:20 in the morning, but that's a football players job. Regardless, we got through the first 4 games without a loss. An SEC game should never be considered "preseason". The competition is no longer an excuse. It's time for LSU to play LSU football.
To the guy that claims MSU outplayed LSU...you have got to be kidding? If you really think this is true, you don't know the game of football.

Good point.
Also, how much of the flight/travel problems combined with the rain and lack of warm-up can be contributed to the lack of "fire" and performance in the Moo State game.?

I'm sure these things had an affect, but the biggest intangible IMO is that we were playing Mississippi State ... a team the fans, coaches, and players none of which get "fired up" or "excited about." That's human nature.
Hopefully, this week we'll see the fire we've been waiting on from this team and this coaching staff.

Fingers crossed!!
My gut feeling tells me we go 1-1 the next two weeks. Not sure which one we win, and which one we lose, but I feel we go 1-1.
Actually, If I KNEW FOR CERTAIN that we would go 1-1 the next two weeks, I'd actually prefer to lose to Georgia and win the Florida game.
I think this team actually needs a loss to get everyone (including the players and coaches) pissed off.

1-1 the next two weeks and I'll be thrilled. I don't care how we do it, just get it done!
Now, IF...IF we go 2-0 the next two weeks, I'm running around Perkins Rowe naked next Sunday morning!!!
