The PMAC Experience - Will Wade Era

If you haven't already, it's time to get aboard the Will Wade train. The stadium experience is night and day from last year. Here's some highlights
1. Video boards are 1000x better than last year. Think Jerry World but on a smaller scale. Crisp and clear with minimal advertising taking up space.
2. Team plays hard! There's an actual offensive philosophy and the defense is hard nosed.
3. Team plays together. They cheer each other on and really get into the game. The bench is constantly standing up and cheering. Any time a substitution happens, the entire bench stands and says something to the exiting player.
4. Wade is a show all by himself. He cheers, shouts, encourages, rips referees, barks instruction, chest bumps, ...... watching him is as fun as watching the game.
5. The band plays their full compliment of songs. A small setting discourages the student section from shouting vulgarities. That allows the band to play their full compliment of songs. While they haven't played "Neck" yet, I guarantee you Wade would grab the mic and rip the student section if they shouted STTDB.
6. There's a DJ booth in the student section. That's gonna get interesting.
Come out Thursday night! You'll be glad you did.

Aramark is a complete travesty. Honestly I'd love the boosters to pony up and buy out our concessions contract.

I don't know. There's several things that prevent it from being shouted in the PMAC. Unlike Tiger Stadium, there's not a lot of anonymity. Shouting it along with several thousand is a lot different than shouting along with a couple of hundred. Plus, the liquid courage isn't as high as it would be for football.
If it were shouted, I guarantee you Wade would grab the mic and say "We represent this university with pride and class. We expect the same of you"

CWW would be such a nerd if he did that. I think he's great so far but he doesn't get to command the students like that until he's a proven winner. He should be focused completely on the team and if students being too rowdy is a problem well then he's SOL.

They really do need to renovate the outside of the PMAC soon though. It's honestly really ugly to look at.

Just give this administration time. They will ruin this experience just like they have Tiger Stadium. The band is what makes it and they have been neutered on Saturdays. Hopefully Alleva and clan never make it to a basketball game or this atmosphere will be loaded with advertisements, pumped in music and a band that sits on its hands the whole game.

You're telling me that if LSU was up on UK (this is a huge hypothetical), and the band played neck... You wouldn't get a semi-chub if the arena filled with a resounding "STTDB"!?!?!

The pmac is going to be a lot of fun this year even if the team isn’t all that great. They’ll play hard everytime which is something we haven’t seen in a long time.

From what I’ve read, he’s focused on everything that has anything to do with the program. Wouldn’t be shocked if he’s weighing in on song selections, pregame introductions and halftime performances. If he weighed in on crowd behavior, it wouldn’t be a shock. He’s that detail oriented.
