To keep bad play and embarrassment in perspective, I'll have to say Homecoming, 9-23-2000.
Losing to UAB, which was essentially still a Div2 program, trumps any of the LSU misfortunes or Miles blunders offered up in previous posts.

I'd have to say the forward shovel pass interception in the NC will stick with me a long, long, long time.
That one sticks in my craw a bit, but the game was pretty much already lost by the time it happened. All it did was put a big exclamation point on just how truly inept JJ was as a QB in his time here.
The non-call on the obvious mugging of Early Doucet in the '06 Auburn game really stands out to me, but there were probably a half-dozen other calls in that game that could make my list, too.

I know its old, but the 1982 Tulane 4th and 4 pass to Reggie Reginelli....
I was there. And I still maintain that mofo crawled the last 3 yards into the end zone.

3 plays come to mind:
1. 1999 (or 2000)LSU pulls within 2 of Alabama at home. Josh Booty tries to run it in with Mealey standing wide open in the corner of the endzone. He could have underhand tossed it to him for the score...instead, he was helicopter spun on the 1 yard line and Bama gets the goal line stand. Frickin Andrew Zow. I gave Josh a pass up until this play...he was my most hated QB in LSU history...up until the events of 1/9.
2. 2008 LSU vs. UC Irvine: the hidden ball play. LeMahieu's foot is on the damn bag and they call him out? Ump was out of position, and didn't see the whole play. It was the only time I ever liked Javi, because he got tossed.
3. Nothing really parallels my anger after the substitution circus vs. Tennessee in 2010. We won, but I was angry about that for a LONG time.

Women's Final Four against Tennessee. Our ball with the game tied and only a few seconds remaining. Inbounds pass is stolen by the Vols and they make a layup for the win. We lose.
It's nice to see somebody mention something other than football - the above was always one of the most difficult for me as well.
And pretty much, the same damn thing happened in 2008 at the Women's Final Four!

This was not Miles first game, but yes that Tenn game was awful. It was also my first game in Tiger Stadium. One play for me would be the PP7 non-interception. Any play from the 50 burger Florida put on us could apply too. I try to forget that game even happened.
We must be around the same age because these were my three exactly. My first game in Tiger Stadium was the Florida game in '93 (Fla 58-3).
The worst I ever felt after a game was the Tenn. game after Katrina.
The PP7 non-interception stuck with me for weeks. I would say this was the worst single play I can remember.

I agree. By that point I was so numb and in shock I didn't even get that upset about that one comically bad play.

JJ
This one pretty much sums up JJ's career for me. He did a similar play to this in the Arkansas game (which was completed) and I said if he did that against Georgia or Bama it's an interception. And well... go figure.

The PP7's interception at Bama, with video evidence that he had intercepted the ball and the divet on the field proved it. Only Bama refs said it wasn't.
I FRICKING HATE BAMA!
