Hey- when it comes to LSU Football, you're only as old as you feel.
"Unique" LSU fans didn't exactly develope in the '90s, FWIW. They've been around for a long while.....
As long as they aren't doing anything wrong, where's the harm? If these guys want to dress up act crazy at the games as an escape from the everyday crap we all must deal with- more power to 'em.

I love that b/c some of them are Docs and Lawyers they are nice great guys. That doesn't mean jack shite. Haha. Ridiculoous. The Pimps are a bunch middle-aged figs that make us look bad and need attention. I hope they know how much people make fun of them as soon as they walk away.

I started the TigerPimpNation with a couple of my best friends about 10 years ago. We have had an absolute blast going to away games and Pimpn' the Tigahs.
Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion. If you think we are lame good for you. We probably wouldn't hang out and that's cool. At our home games we also have a DJ, Bartender, flat screens, a set up and break down guy, catered food, personalize cups and wristbands because it has gotten so big. I guess that is attention seeking too. How about if you don't like it you just do your thing and we will do our thing.
And if you want a history of the Tiger Pimps, here it is:
After I finished playing and moved on to LSU law school, I asked about 10 of my buddies if they wanted to make a road trip. The first year we borrowed a Winnie and headed up to Ole Miss. Hijinks ensued.
The next year we went to Miss St. and had a blast - this time with about 20 guys.
The third year we flew to Atlanta and charted a Tour Coach to Blacksburg. We had 50 guys. Dr. Toe burned a CD - yes before ipods - and entitled it "Pimpin to Blacksburg". Think Sports(now Reggie's) bump mix. After a six pack or twenty, someone said wouldn't it be funny to actually go to a road game and Pimp the Tigahs? The resounding answer was why not?
The next year we went back to Ole Miss(see the website). Fan reaction was awesome, Miller was a sponsor and we had a blast. The original pimp suits were pretty lame, aka some "pimp in a box" type stuff. That shite had to end. Halloween costumes were no longer acceptable....
The following year we headed to Tuscaloosa. Pimp suits upgraded, ie tailors employed - good for local economy and we also discovered Sam's Man of Fashion on Plank. If you ever head up there, tell Mr. Sam that Poppa P sent you. He actually has a purple and gold section now.
After Alabama we went to Tennessee. Great trip! We set up shop in a random parking lot and had 500 people rocking out within an hour. We also built a rolling bar that allowed us to fit 4 kegs. One of the pimps is an engineer, and we retro fitted the kegs so that we could fill them with red bull and vodka, crown and seven, screwdrivers for morning games and beer.
The following year was back to Ole Miss. We rolled in from Memphis in 5 stretch hummer limos. Nothing like leaving the hottie tottie Ole Miss a'holes speechless and f'n up their hole day. The look on their faces when their cheerleaders wanted pics with the pimps was awesome. Chancellor O'Keefe hung out with us for a while too. Pretty funny dude. We paid a guy to set our tailgate up in the middle of the grove. F'n classic.
In 2008 we were invited to travel with the LSU Alumni Association to South Carolina. Another classic trip. How many tailgates have you been at with the chancellor? We also created the portable stipper pole. There was a line of LSU and SC hotties waiting to take pics and get stickers and tank tops.
We offended so many people that we were invited to go with LSU AA again last year to Miss St. They actually promoted the trip as "The Pimp Trip".
We were going to go to Auburn this year but decided to take a Pimpcation. We will be back in action next year at either the WVU or Alabama games.
As far as not being down with the fun we have, if its not your deal fine. We don't force anyone to hang out with us, but lots of people like to.
As far as being racist? Thats just incorrect. For starters, the TPN is interracial. We have black, white and brown pimps. In fact, everywhere we have ever gone we get a great reaction from both black and white people. We have never had an issue with fans of any color. So please, check that shite.
