Mike Linebacker is claerly the orgin of the name correct? I really liked the little ball of hate better at first but WTF, Honey badger won it. ML should get invite to New York too and commission on all the Honey Badger Tshirts I bought for kids this year.

Funny thing is, this thread right here, helped Mathieu become a "household name".

The Little Ball of Hate nickname was absolutely terrible. It sounds like something that a 90 year old woman would say. I assume everyone that liked it was also 90 years old. But I digress. The Honey Badger name was perfect from the start. Its the most accurate nickname to describe a player outside of Calvin "Megatron" Johnson.
