Catch the Ball - no drops
Make the tackle - 1st man there, enough with the missed tackles.
Know your job - block the right guy, no blown coverages
Play with passion - we all play like healthy Guice.

the rest is BS, if we do these things we can beat anybody.

Due to their advantage at the LOS, i'm gonna say we need Bama to make a few mistakes for us to come out with a W. Pressure and contain Hurts to force bad throws against our elite secondary. On the other side Etling has to have time to throw and hit the completions when they are there to be had.

TLDR we play near perfect and Bama does not.

PIGS MAY FLY AGAIN

Every year we waste a lot of plays trying to force it "up the middle", we can not afford to waste plays.
We must force the game to the outside and use short passes to keep them off our QB

if Alabama beats itself. LSU will make a game of it and has a shot at winning, and I don’t expect a blowout, but let’s be realistic. OTH this is the rant board where no one is realistic.

Or, they could actually generate some offense. Look at the 2010 and 2012 LSU vs Bama games. LSU had twice the yardage of Bama in each of those games.

and a better defense. This defense is worse than 2012 and we know that the bed was “shat” in that game.

LSU will have to be better than they have been all year, and Bama will have to be worse than they have been all year.

The offense will have to be consistently effective, with good line play and some chunk plays. Bama will have to abandon the run and Hurts will have to make some bad decisions.

The defense will have to stuff the run and make some big plays in the secondary. Bama's defense will have to be confused, blow assignments, and tackle poorly.

Stranger things have happened.

Also, LSU will have to be near flawless on special teams and win field position.

Tall task but even David slayed Goliath going to battle without any armor, and only a staff, sling, and 5 stones. LSU is better equipped than David. Go get the head, Tigers.

Very simple:

As with any football game, any level, any time...the game is won in the trench. PERIOD!

Plenty of teams have been able to put up points on Bama. My biggest concern is Etling scrambling and taking hits. His O-line has to give him some time (easier said than done). If Etling can remain upright and time to pass, I like our WR against their DBs.

In short, we fricking ridin!!!!!

We can't continue to call plays where DE is forced to check down so much, lose time, and succomb to the rush. Canada must call quickie passes. Get that ball out now. It's better for our OL and more surprising to the DB. Then, maybe, that will alow us to set up other stuff.

If Bama loses, it'll be because they're looking ahead to Moo St.

This. Those Alabama players put on their britches one leg at a time, same as we do.
