That’s not a huge down year.
14th in the SEC staring a 9-21 record with no regional appearance is putrid and unacceptable at LSU.

It is when there are 6-7 colleges investing in college baseball. Finishing 5th in the 90's is equal to this season.

Typically / historically none of those teams ever considered hiring college coaches. TV is the outlier. So I’m pretty sure we were all safe from that happening regardless of this season.

Yeah the chances of him taking a job in the MLB are slim but you can’t threaten to leave because of lack of support as the head coach of LSU baseball then proceed to lose to Bethune Cookman. We care it about it more down here than anywhere else in the country

I guess it’s a matter of how you interpret his remarks but I personally don’t feel like he ever threatened to leave. He was ambiguous at best but all he really said was “things change” “this is where I’m happy”.
I fully agree that this is the most passionate fanbase of any college program. Not always realistic or patient but certainly the most passionate.
And yes we should never lose to BC but that really is just baseball sometimes. Admittedly, this year perhaps it’s more than that,

I’m not happy with this season, but I believe him when he says it will be fixed. I respect that he holds everyone accountable without actually throwing players under the bus. And when has he “threatened” to leave for MLB?

And who is he gonna hire with more accolades? JJ could have this same year next year and it wouldn't warrant firing him.
There are 2 HC with multiple NC and lsu has one of them.
I hate our entitled fanbase. A portion of our "fans" don't deserve to have a national title winning HC.
