Outside of QB, this happened in 2012. Lost 9 starters on defense and Trent Richardson from the 2011 team.
Which was my next point.

It really does not matter.
We lead the NCAA in draft eligible players, mostly Juniors, who leave LSU early no matter what round they get drafted in. Ala Danielle Hunter.
It would be stupid of a fan base to not expect this trend to continue. For Les, keeping starting Seniors on ur team should be just as important as getting high profile recruits. Expect more to leave pre-maturely after this Season.

I totally agree with this post. Good facts and perspective.
I do however blame the coaching staff for not bringing Brandon Harris along more last year. There were many opportunities to give him more PT. He really hurt us (as AJ did last year) by not making sound decisions in the passing game like not hitting the wide open guy 6 yards down the field and going for the covered buy 30 yards down the field for an incompletion. We had 13 incomplete passes thrown, and only one was to Guice. He didn't get in the game, and he should've.
Sure one long pass turned into a TD and another a first down, and I loved it, but BAMA played the dink and dunk passing game on us and controlled the game clock. We could have done more but had no drive that lasted over 6 plays.

Returned the best parts of a great o-line, a national title winning qb and you brought back Lacy, which is a bit more than you will return next year. Next year you bring back a few o-line (and probably your best one) and you have what looks like a star wr in the making. In total, you only return about 30-35% of your offensive production. Saban certainly has earned the benefit of the doubt when it comes to reloading on defense but I still believe it will be something to keep an eye on. That said and the other side of the coin is that LSU will have about the same number of offensive lineman returning along with 86%-100% of its offensive production.

I am not arguing that the trend will not continue next year. Jeter would be the biggest shock ever if he declared. I think I make a pretty reasonable argument about why Pocic may return and of LaCourture, Neal, Jefferson, and Thomas a few of them may make the jump regardless or not it is a good idea but it should also not be a shock that a few or all of them come back. Dural, Hawkins, White, and Beckwith would be a shock if they stayed through.

If Kiffin can turn Coker into a competent QB WE'RE the ones who are in trouble, my friend.
He was always a competent QB. I don't believe for a second that all these QBs were ahead of him throughout the offseason. That was BS when it was being reported. Even some Bama fans thought all the switching of QB leader in the offseason was BS. He hasn't thrown a TD in 3 weeks. He's thrown 7 ints at home and only 2 TDs on the road/neutral site.

And Alabama has a couple of guys, RB's, coming in who are supposed to be pretty monstrous.
They have some guys coming in, but nobody established. Ingram, Richardson, Lacy, Yeldon, Henry were all established players before they started. Even guys like Upchurch, Fowler, and Drake were competent #3s. I see than running game taking a drop off.
