I'm delighted that I was able to provide your 100th downvote.

this is way way over the top man. first of all, I don't believe you when you say you read hundreds of posts like his in 2009. i'm calling you a liar.
and to "seriously hate" fans "like him" and call him a non fan is crazy stuff man. so i'm saying you are not a nut you are crazy; there's a difference.

The Official Pump the Brakes Thread
Exactly what are we pumping the brakes on?
We came from behind a bit and took the West.
We won 20 SEC games for only the 10th time.
We may host.
So what is it that is so bad that makes you tell us all to let off the gas on good vibes and feelings heading into SEC tourney slick?

I lived through the nightmare of TigerBait.com in 2009 and also read the daily melts here - You can read hundreds on The Rant alone.
And yes, I hate fairweather fans, post season only fans, negatigers, new uninformed fans, old know it all fans and Grandads. Deal with it.

I said it and when I did it was true. sorry if the truth hurts. thankfully, that was the low point of the season; the time when our pitchers couldn't throw a strike and our batters couldn't hit squat.
look, there are emotions during the season as the team has it's ups and downs. that's one of the great things about baseball; the season is long and there are a lot of games. just because a person is critical doesn't mean they are bad fans; they are expressing how they feel at the moment. LSU has a lot of emotional fans and that's great. I guess some, esp on here want some sort of lifeless, personalityless, company line following sheep fans.

You don't know shite about team and let's make it happen attititude... you're a fan and that's great but you've never seen the field, never played the game, never understood a real 60 game season... you're a knee jerk fan and there's no doubt about it... we love you and we tolerate you but your opinions are baseless and ultimately ignored

Is this one of those "glad we're doing good but in case we don't win it all I was right"

you pretty much take the wind out of my sails but you would be wrong about never playing the game and understanding a 60 game season. that's your opinion, so be it.
Posted on 5/20/17 at 6:14 pm to LSU GrandDad
Nah my friend you misunderstand me... I appreciate an educated opinion... but a statement that dismisses the team based on a half season of work indicates a lack of experience... if you truly know how the college season ebbs and flows then you would understand we have a lot to be excited about

May the downvotes rain upon you, non-believer.

I still don't think they get out the Supers unless they just get a helluva pairing.
This team actually reminds me of 2004 team in a lot of ways. That team of course went 0-2 in Omaha.

Did that really happen?!?!?

I've said it before and I'll say it, again. People who use the phrase, "Pump the Brakes" or derivations of it are almost always jerks.

And I agree. But if you are going to compete in Omaha, you have to be able to have a chance to produce runs against those guys. Our previous encounters with them gave us no hope.

Read hundreds of posts just like yours in 2009. I seriously hate (Non) fans like you.
You mean realistic thoughts about whether we can have quality at bats against draft-worthy pitching? About whether our hitting coach has enough experience in working with hitters to have them looking for the right pitches in situations?
Or are we fooling ourselves into thinking we are better than we really are at the plate a because we have had some luck in the past 4 weeks? I hope not!
BTW, not sure how you measure fandom, but I will be happy to compare # and years of season tickets purchased, games attended at home and away, trips to Omaha, baseball played and coached, etc. I am a real fan of baseball and the Tigers. Not a bandwagon fan, instead I'm always pulling for the Tigers but also realistic when I don't see the results that I believe should be there based on the talent we consistently recruit. You can rip me if you like, but its my opinion. GEAUX TIGERS! See you in Hoover.
