Are your fricking retarded? That's like saying the entire class should get the same grade because the are all in the same class. Everyone is graded on their own individual merits. The players played well. The coaches mitigated there potential for success with that horrible second half play calling.

are you? a class is a room full of individuals all in it for their own personal education and advancement.

a proper analogy is a military platoon. working in a concerted effort to win a war/achieve in objective. troops on the field and generals in the war room. if the objective is achieved, the platoon is successful. if the objective is not achieved, the platoon is a failure.

last night, our war room generals and field troops achieved their objective. that's it.

next week, completely different mission. different obstacles. different enemy.

It started in 07 when we beat State 45-3. We were in meltdown mode and we were blowing out a SEC team.

I love blowing teams out! Sorry but I enjoy completely dominating teams. With the exception of a few games each year we usually have a great advantage in talent so I like it when we play to our potential.

I actually lost interest, while continuing to watch, in the 2nd half last night. It's so frustrating to allow teams to stay close when you could've put the game out of reach. I want to see guys like Guice get work in games AND rest the starters in the 4th qtr saving them from future fatigue and/or potential injuries.

And this goes for all sports...I like baseball winning 12-1 more than 2-1.

You probably love Oregons awesome play calling. I wonder if they like their 0-1 record.

Les Miles' arrogance is a detriment to this team.

It must suck to be so miserable.

Last night LSU looked like a thoroughbred who coasted to a win at the wire. Mikes was the jockey who asked the horse to do just enough to win and move on. When he asked the horse for more after MSU got it to 14-6, the delivered with an easy TD drive.

Did he let it get close than it needed to be? Sure, but the team we saw last night is the real deal. I saw a team with the talent and ability to do whatever is necessary to win. I can guarantee you that the rest of the SEC is more concerned with LSU now than they were before the game, yet our fan base is more pessimistic than ever. It's fricking asinine.

i don't understand this argument. why is les miles arrogant? let's even assume that he's gone out of his way to hire extremely accomplished coordinators and pay them well beyond market value for their services which is entirely inconsistent with a megalomaniac.

let's assume that he thinks: "my way is the single best way to guide LSU football to a victory". well shouldn't your head football coach think that? how can you lead if you don't believe what you're doing.

It's not that people have forgotten what you have pointed out it's that most are afraid of returning to that time.

agreed buddy.

unfortunately, i think that fear is preventing them from doing anything close to remotely enjoying the team they so dearly love. like loving your wife so much that you get miserable because you think she's going to leave you.

if you can't see the exact similarities from last year then it's because you don't want to.

Thats not true at all. The offense went bland in the 4th but we had 17 points called back. A 27 yard run was called back that had hs in fg range in the 4th and 2 tds. When we threw the ball it was effectivr which wasnt the case last year.

Anyone who says this was lst year all over is looking to bitch so they think they sound smart.

Was i nervous? Ya...but frick man my heart racing after a win is why i watch. Its why i love sport. Not to bitch about only winning on toad5vs top 25 team when all kind of teams shite the bed yesterday. But hey thats me.
And frick me can people stop saying 8-5 like thats been the norm under miles. Some frickstick said 8 wind was the ceiling for any miles coached team and people agreed....any team? Hes busted that shite a ton and people ignore it because they want to bitch

Meh I like watching ground and pound, stress, watching our d getting worn out, watching the opposing d stack the box, oh and just knowing the other team will miss the late FG

So in a military battle it isn't better to dominate therefore saving casualties? You would rather not use bombing raids or missiles to soften the enemy just sacrifice more soldiers as long as the objective is achieved ?

les has his braindead moments. he's also done some outstanding coaches and made calls that no other coach in america would've made.

let's see how this team plays out. last year was last year. i saw enough of this team to think they have a shot. which is all you can ask for at this point.

I guess, but if the platoon fought well and the strategy was horrible do you not place the blame on the generals or the strategist?

This is insanity. Every year some of y'all believe the passing game will magically come around without us even utilizing it in game play. It's the same thing we do on 3rd and long oh shite lets run run and put our qb in a low percentage passing situation. Teams half to know we are willing to throw it on 1st and 2nd and we will have success doing so.

lsu will beat the shite out of auburn. and roll until our big matchups and then we'll have to see what this team is made of.
