If people if front of me are standing then I do too, but I'll stand if the game is really exciting but not much is going on then I think people should probably just sit for the time. Students excluded of course.

>REASON:
>Common courtesy dictates that fans should not block
>the view of other fans who are seated during game action.
What about the fans that have sideline seats between rows 1 and 8 and must stand to see the action on the field? Will the players on the sidelines actually sit on the bench that is provided for them so the fans in those rows can see the field from a sitting position?

That's a fricking thread from a month ago and it all ties into today's press release of the new traffic shite so give yourself a pat on the back for thinking of "Germans" all by yourself and move the frick on.

New rule for next year. Fans are only allowed to cheer when touchdowns are scored and must otherwise be silent.

For you guys that think this won't ever happen in the student section, you're wrong. It happened to me and my gf last year because we were on the last row of the student section behind the goal post. They told us we couldn't stand on the bleachers because it was blocking the season ticket holders behind us who were sitting. Not directly behind us, because there is that walkway which I guess is 5 ft wide. The marshall wouldn't make everyone in front of us get off the bleachers, though, so we were forced to look between the other students and try to watch the game.
It's only a matter of time before the either make the whole student section sit or just shrink it down to near nothing.

You won't be able to get past any of the "easy street" guard shacks after 7am on game day.

I do have to sit down occassionaly to pour my Jack and Coke, does that count?
As long as you share, I have no problem with sitting down to pour Jack and Coke.

This will be my 18th year of going to football games in Tiger Stadium, and it's always been the same. For most of the game, everyone (except the student section) sits until something happens. A first down, a touchdown, a big defensive stop, etc. There's no need to stand the entire game.

The LSU marshals can kiss my standing, yelling arse. Do those old coots get promotions depending on how big of an arse they can be?
nothin but a bunch of fun nazis
this applies to every sport, whether the stadium is packed, or if there are two people in the stands

You didn't read my original post then. The rule is not dumb, just the fact that it's now part of the official fan guide. It makes us look like a bunch of pussies.

I go to games with my grandmother and even she is upset at that rule!

Still, the typical "Only shitty fans sit during games" responses came up. I agree that putting the rule on paper is ridiculous. Should be common sense.

This is a ill advised rule and will simply lead to more conflict and confrontation. It empowers a whole class of anal retentive, overweight prigs who will absolutely abuse their rights and cause general misery in their sections.
Moreover, as every knows, there exists a subset of LSU "marshalls" who exist solely to prove that a paunchy thirty year old H.S. dropout from Houma is just as much of a real live American arse-kicker as Walker, Texas Ranger.

OK a-hole, what is the subject of your post? You also quoted the policy re no standing.
Ask yourself a question: “Do I really understand what “subject” means?” Is this not the “subject” of your post: “The new "No Standing in Tiger Stadium" rule is ridiculous.”
Now take your head out of your arse long enough to clean your eyeballs so you can read your own post.
"Would somebody please show this poor a-hole the way out of town."

I agree, putting this in writing will just give people who are miserable ammunition to make others around them miserable.
I use to sit on the West side around the 40. There was this lady who brought a book to every game and would read while occasionally glancing up if something happened. Every one in my group would stand and cheer at crucial moments and of course the bitch with her nose in a book would immediately tell us to calm down or sit down.
I'll bet she brings this new rule in a laminated 8"x11".

Nothing will change, they won't enforce it any harder than they ever have.
