He's good but he is the only good pitcher ull has seen thus far.

Iexcuses are like butt holes and im about to make one but boasting about beating lsu in 5 innings while throwing your ace against lsus 4th starter is funny to me.

Our ace? Way to lose all of your credibility.

Your point? We scored 2 runs on 2 hits with 4 BBs. And we got the win. Here's the play by play of that particular inning…

Louisiana - Bottom of 7th
UA UL
Wilson,R walked (3-1).
Conrad,J reached on a fielding error by p, SAC, bunt, advanced to second on a throwing error by p (0-1); Wilson,R advanced to third.
Strentz,M grounded out to 2b (0-0).
Compton,C grounded out to p, SAC, bunt, 2 RBI (1-0); Conrad,J scored, unearned; Wilson,R scored, unearned.
Leonards,R walked (3-1).
Burrows to p for Turnbull.

We scored two runs on a double safety squeeze bunt. We've done this multiple times this season and it works often. We are aggressive but smart on the base paths and that's why we won the game. So if you're going to try to downplay our 2 runs, doesn't bother me, we won the game and that's all that matters.

For the record, I've seen LSU run the bases this year and it's fricking laughable. Horrid is a better word.

Our ace??? Lmao you are a fricking idiot. Milhorn is our 3rd best pitcher at best. Robichaux and Baranik are our aces.

The fact that you claim we threw our ace against LSU just shows the amount of insecureness you feel about your shitty offense this year.

I'm not even trying to troll this thread. I just think the bats are used as a crutch by too many fans. Yeah, they're not as good and I'd like to see a slight adjustment but I think good hitters are still capable of hitting. It's more about approach and attitude than anything. When LSU's bats get on a hot streak, I'm sure there will be less complaining though.

Ah yes....my insecurities. Im not the one on an lsu website defending ull against idiots like me because trust me, i am an idiot as you have stated. Why even come on here and respond if you know i am an idiot? What makes you feel the need to do that

Well lsu has a terrible hitting coach who still thinks we use the juiced up bats. Fly ball after fly ball to the warning track when the fact of the matter is this squad has bery few, if any power hitters. The picthing is so good that allows them to get away with it for the most part.

This I agree with and that's all that counts in the end. UL-Lafayette seems to have the right pieces in place for a down year in the Sun Belt conference. You guys have the sticks to feast against rag arms. As you know, it's all about what happens in the Regionals. We shall see.

We're a different team than last year. Our pitching is miles better and that's why I think we're legit this year. We have around 10 solid pitchers this year and Seth Harrison is working his way back to the mound. Last year after Robichaux, I didn't really trust any starters besides Ryan Wilson, who is now starting midweek games and starting in the outfield on the weekends.

The season is still young and the trash talking is fun because it gets such an obvious reaction but no one thinks anything has been won yet. This team seems really focused though, so we're all hopeful.

Since when did ULL fans become Monday morning QBs? I bet if you guys didn't have 30 HRs this season, you wouldn't be such an "expert" on hitting, correct?

LSU has how many titles? We get MUCH more room to talk about hitting and crushing anything then ULL fans will. Sorry man.

188

6

Those two sets of numbers should remain in your head until you can figure them out son.

So because you have so many national titles, then you can blame the bats when you don't hit the ball as much as you would like?

Come on, now.

That's not what i am trying to say here.

My point is that arguing with ULL fans about baseball is pointless because you guys talk as if you love the bats. Well no shite. Yall have plenty home runs. Of course you don't mind them.

Lets talk about the bats from the 90s compared to 2008 and 2009.

That's what i am arguing here. We should not have changes so drastically from 2009 to this. We could have kept them how they were in 2009 and things would be fine.

I truly believe they overreacted because of the composite bats of 2008 and 2009
Those bats were too powerful after the break in.
The aluminum without composite was fine.

I'll bet '09 composites were = 97 gorilla bats
Or close to them
