81 yards, Jontre Kirklin to Chris Hilton. And it'll stay that way until September.

We had nothing to lose going into that game, we had like 40 players on scholarship. Max Johnson had already transferred to Aggy, that's why Kirklin had to play QB. But the ones that were there played like Tigers and never gave up, and that play happened. It didn't change the outcome, but those FIGHTING Tigers won't be forgotten.

The real question- are fans gonna forget how Nussmeier put himself ahead of the team and sat out to preserve his extra year in case he decides to transfer down the road

Weirdly enough we needed to let Jontre throw it more.

And as for Nuss I’m more upset with Max for not finishing the whole season.

Also Clark and TDP really disappointed me.

I'm sure BK was just fine with Nuss retaining the redshirt and not blowing it on a meaningless game.

NCAA should have simply granted the waiver and allowed him to play and retain redshirt, but they've literally never had the interest of the players as a priority.

In a game we lost to Kansas State by 3 touchdowns. 2020 and 2021 cannot vanish fast enough.

Lol idk about that play being "an exclamation point" though. It was a great play on a rough night.

Maybe he sat out for the team, If he uses that extra year to help LSU it will be in the team’s best interest.

Yeah, it was rough all the way around, no question. I'm not claiming any moral victories or anything. But we were able to end it on a good note, at least, with the Tigers that stayed with us the whole way. That play served as a good transition to the BK era.

Doesn’t matter what “fans” think about him because of that. If you’re really holding that against Nuss it says more about you than it does Nussmeier. We don’t know the entire story and the game probably shouldn’t have been played to begin with (40 scholarship players and all)
If you wanna be mad at someone, be mad at Max Johnson. Lil bastard left us hanging. Hope Ojulari rips his head off In November.

A fricking WR had a longer TD pass than rag arm Max Johnson last season. Let that sink in.

That game was the culmination of two years of complete dysfunction. It was embarrassing.

Jontre Kirklin
He will always be in my top 5 of LSU players. He wasn't great that night, but he manned up against all odds.

My uncle and I went to the game. We lost but the night as whole was a win.

LSU isn't aggy. We didn't run and hide. Don't be a P.

Hope LSU Football names one of their postseason awards after him. Great Tiger who always did what the team needed him to do!

It would have been easy for us to quit, considering the circumstances. But we didn't, we're not A&M, we took on K-State with what we had. Despite the loss, that's a great lesson for BK's first team.
