Was the ATMOSPHERE of Tiger Stadium.

The culture of that place has changed so much over the past 20 years—and not for the better.

You have a bunch of students that couldn’t care less about football and are more interested in an after party. That USED to be just the sorority thing to do, now it’s the majority thing to do.

You have empty seats everywhere and 75% of the stadium is sitting down on 3rd down.

We have gotten soft. People are doing the stupid “L” with their finger instead of getting loud. This isn’t Baylor or Louisiana Tech.

My theory is we got soft when we started selling beer in the stadium in 2019. Now people aren’t able to sober up and yell. It’s all about the Benjamin's, and we’ve sold our soul to the all mighty dollar. It’s like a perpetual “wave” in that stadium, and if you were there you know what I’m talking about.

Nope. Its way more disappointing that we have a roster full of kids that don't give a frick whether we win or lose. Lots of guys just more concerned about talking shite and celebrating mediocre plays.

That’s an odd theory

I was heavily downvoted last week for saying this, but the 2003 Georgia and 2007 Florida atmosphere is long gone.

Yep 2012 Bama game was lit. That was one of the last times we will ever have that atmosphere.

Place was rocking for UF, AU, aTm in 2019. It’s all about the product on the field.

The beer is definitely not the problem.

I don’t think this is the reason why. Prior to 2019 a lot of people would leave because they were sobering up and would leave to go back to their tailgate to drink. Can’t say I disagree with you about the rest of what you noted.

Exactly! Those were two that came to mind for me as well. The whole crowd looks SOFT. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a more passive student section. All staring at their phones…

This doesn’t even make sense

The crowds were great in 2019. Some of you just want to complain about shite. An 8pm kickoff against two terrible teams is not going to have a stadium at capacity and rocking for 4+ hours. Blame the product on the field or the absurd amount of TV timeouts that suck the soul out of the games in person

Weren't those games in the day time? There's a big difference in the energy level of a person at two thirty in the afternoon as opposed to freaking eight o'clock at night, particularly if you've been on campus all day. Late games like Auburn are more annoying that early games like Mississippi State.

This is the like 5th time I've seen this thread, and I have no clue where the frick this is coming from. I was at the game and didn't see this 4th quarter mass exodus people keep talking about.

The old line when people were leaving early pre-2019 was people wanted to leave to go drink. Now, it’s that we sell beer. Whatever.

Tiger Stadiium is a shell of its former self. Jordan-Hare has been louder for years.

Maybe LSU people (I don’t even call them fans) don’t care about football anymore?

If you leave early and can’t get up for a 4th quarter 2 point lead against Auburn, you’re not a fan.

Georgia 2003 was a day game. Florida in 2007 was a night game. I was drinking heavily in both of them, but I'm fairly certain of my memory of day vs. night

I don't agree with the beer selling angle having an effect, but I will say this: I sit in the south end zone. There were about 8 young adults sitting in front of us. They were standing most of the time, but not watching the game at all. They were all drinking beer and talking to each other, stumbling drunk and taking selfies. None of them were watching.
