Good point. LSU has never won a game after October 31.

Now please call you mom and apologize for being such a jackass. She had high hopes for you once.

If it rains, and hurts the passing attack a little bit, we have the advantage on the ground.

I disagree the line has to hold up and their needs to be smart playing calling, but I have faith in Mett.

I don't know if I am the only one, but the more I analyze the match-up on paper the more concerned I get with the game on Saturday. This past weekend prior to really taking a hard look at the match-ups I thought that LSU had the better team and would hold A&M to less than 30pts and would win the game by at least a TD.

Now after really looking at the match-ups on paper, I am truly more concerned that Manziel could go off. I don't like our chances is a shoot-out because most of the time the best player on the field finds a way to win it. And there is no question JFF is the best player on the field.

At this point the only way I feel we win this game is if LSU runs for over 250yds on the ground and LSU stadium is freaking rocking and loud as hell to keep JFF from being able to audible well. If it is a scoring 40's type game for both teams, I am concerned that might be a problem for LSU. I do believe that if it rains or is a wet field that would benefit LSU.

Anyone else getting more concerned the closer we get to Saturday?

You're making the classic mistake that a lot of folks do in certain games (I've seen it happen particularly between LSU & bowl opponents). You're simply looking at a single side of the ball & predicating your worries on that.

At points in the game, LSU will be offense and A&M will be on defense. This is just as much a mismatch as the other way around. I think LSU could put up 40+ just running toss dives the entire game.

He didn't against Bama, or Auburn.

Well he went off against Bama but not so much against Auburn, but if you look at the stats both teams ran the ball big time. Bama over 230yds and Auburn over 300yds. Not allowing him to go off by keeping him off the field. Sounds like a plan to me.

LOFL

How in the world did you come to that conclusion.

We will need to score 40+ to win a close one.

I hear you, and at first I thought if a shoot-out happened I thought that would favor us also because our defense as bad as it has played at times this year is still better than A&M's. But the last shoot-out we got into it didn't turn out so well for us "UGA." Granted that was an away game, but still usually the best player on the field finds a way to win it in those types of games. Murray was better than Mett that day, and I got a feeling JFF will be better than Mett also. That is why I would love to see LSU run for over 250yds on Saturday.

I hear you, but I also think at that point that UGA's defense was better & they made critical stops against LSU (especially that last drive w/pressure on Mett). A&M's defense, when I've watched them this year, seems to set the standard for horrible, so I think LSU may fare better than they did against UGA.

Also, you'd think that at some point, one of JFF's lob balls is either going to be intercepted or knocked down to kill a drive (or two). I'm hoping against hope that our defense can make a handful of plays that'll allow our offense to get the lead & hold onto it.
