When I realized he doesn’t pass with any confidence and balls look like they were thrown by an Andrew Hatch noodle arm.

Maybe... but he was still light-years better than brennan.

This was me. It felt like a return to the Les Miles years, when we only threw on third down, usually unsuccessfully.

But still, Geaux Tigers!

Brennan is etling with a stronger arm. It appears Brennan holds the ball just as long as etling too.

So once again, LSU wasted millions upon millions giving MASSIVE contracts out to people like Pelini?

This is a stupid comparison... Myles is a statue compared to Etling.

Brennan may have a stronger arm than Etling but I've still yet to see a big difference. Even in his mop up duty last year. Once brennan is flushed out of the pocket the play is over. It will either be a throw away or a bad pass to nowhere. He may improve but I think we're back in business for shitty qb play this year unfortunately.

We were at Walk On’s and by the middle of the 2Q most everyone was yelling “throw the damn ball!” So I know the optics were pretty much the same. But again we were at Walk On’s, not at a coaching conference breaking down game film. But your question was “when” and I would say by the third possession I said to myself, “he looks like Andrew Hatch out there”.

What is astonishing is he's been working at this several years, and this is all he's learned. I was looking for something less than Burrow, but I was also looking for competence. The problem here is deep within the timbers of LSU's ship. Why are we having to send out to Univ of Georgia and Ohio State to get a quarterback? The last really talented QB that we brought up was Perrilloux, and he flamed out. What happens to these kids who come here wanting to play QB, then leave in frustration? I had a sense watching Brennan that he hadn't had a lot of attention paid to him while he's been on the team.

Myles is closer to jarrett lee imo. Good arm, fairly talented kid, but doesn't seem to have any moxie or mental fortitude and struggles to lead a team.

Spring Game 2018. He looks exactly the same 2 years later. We would be in much better shape if would have signed at least two high level QBs in the 2019 class.

I remember this board going completely nuts because they were scared Brennan would decommit and sign with Oklahoma State after Orgeron made a late push to flip Tua after he got the job. Some people actually thought Brennan was the better take because he was labeled a "pocket passer" and Tua was a "Dual Threat".

Gilbert should be credited with an interception on that play; the ball was headed right in to the hands of a Moo U defender until he (Gilbert) got in the way.
