Softball has been one of the brightest spots In LSU athletics recently too. Not sure why the knock on them.

so softball requires no training and are not athletes? F you are stupid.
yeah man golf is so much tougher
softball is one of the more successful programs at LSU MEN or WOMEN combined the last 4 years.

so many wrongs in one sentence, softballers are definitely a Title IX bonus pack, most of the girls that stay in it, and that is really all it takes, to get to college weren't even the best players on their travel ball/hs teams, kind of like a dike pyramid, a lot of the girls that were better athletes, and usually with higher aspirations, start dropping out of softball as they get older, the dikes get more aggressive about trying to convert them, sexual harassment if you will, and they quit, my daughter was one of those(that quit,) still didn't stop her from getting cold call scholarship offers from all over the country from schools that had never seen her play, they were trying to fill Title IX slots to preserve funding, they used to have tournaments just for the Title IX folks so they wouldn't have to travel as much, they were there strictly to fill Title IX slots
