It's been a long time since I've been, but mine was when Tulane came to Baton Rouge (I believe it was 1984) and LSU beat them pretty handily. Then in the final minute, a fight broke out and both benches cleared. LSU won the fight too. Tulane went into the locker room and refused to finish the game. There was only 78,000 people in those days but the roar was deafening.

too young for medicare, too old for women to care.

..I wish I had known I was going to last this long...
I would have taken better care of myself.

the loudest game I ever attended was the OT game against UT in 2000 or 2001. That was just insane.

I think it was Florida St and we beat them to go to the Orange Bowl. People throwing oranges on the field from all over the stadium. It was nuts.

The thing about the 79 USC game is that it NEVER stopped roaring!! It was like being apart of a jet engine being 5 ft. away for hours! It was truely fantastic and I guess if you were'nt there it could be in question. NOT!!

I have been to almost all the games mentioned and USC 79 is THE GAME!!

BUT SATURDAY COULD CHANGE THIS!!!!!!! NOW LET'S GEAUX TIGERS AND MAKE THIS "THE LOUDEST GAME IN TIGER STADIUM HISTORY".

Does that game get louder as the years go by?

NO, ask anyone who was there.

USC came in ranked #1 and LSU was up 12 -10 with about a min or so to go then a bogus penalty came.
we lost 17-12

Notre Dame in 72, Ole Miss 72, Southern Cal 79, Florida 97. Tiger Stadium doesn't seem as loud after the expansion.

Auburn '97 when Cecil Collins ran that second long score right at the student section. I lost my girlfriend, now wife, for a couple of minutes from people going crazy.

I agree, that is definately the loudest I've heard...but the people who sit next to where my season tickets are swear it was the Auburn game that same year (which I had to miss.) .

Definitely UF in 97. I was there for the USC game and it was loud but upsetting the number 1 team in 97 just brought out the best in us. It never stopped and it just rumbled your chest. Awesome!

1979 - USC game.

It was not only the loudest, but it was also the most consistently loud game I've ever attended. I don't think I ever sat down, and neither did anyone else.

My top 5
1.Tenn 2000- It was electric from start to finish
2.Fla 1997- Banks for the TD and Donaldson with the pic.
3.VT 2007- Game was extremely hyped with Gameday and 2 Top 10 teams and first half was incredible.
4.Miss. St.2000- I am glad some people remember this game because it was a unbelievable game.
5.Auburn 2001- Pushed back because of 9/11. I thought the first half it as very loud and we went on to beat them I believe by 2 TDs.
