Saturday, we lost to the 4th or 5th best team in the conference.
It's just. . .
. . .frick this is depressing.
I don't even care about Saturday. My seats will remain empty until LSU restores my confidence.
You are a joke.

Not as much shame in that,
I never said there was any shame in it. I'm not gonna apologize for losing to a great team in a national title game after we dominated college football for the entire season.
You might be more embarrassed for losing to a lesser team, but the SEC is a tough conference. Sometimes teams with not as much talent are gonna beat you. I still say a regular season loss to Florida, on the road, while yes, it's depressing, in no way compares to the gut punch of losing the NC game.

We have been consistently bad on offense. We have the benefit of playing some shitty defenses.
If it isn't a cupcake we can bowl over with sheer size, we are fricked.

I will not put my blessing on that shitstain of an offensive coaching staff.
No one gives a shite. I'd be willing to bet that, if you even have tickets, the people around you will enjoy the game more with you not there.

quote:can't agree with you ther Road. And I wish people would stop sayin that because it just plays right into Alabama's fans hands. LSU was the best team that year and should have capped off the best college football season ever by beating Alabama again in front of a delirious home crowd that was anxiously awaiting it!
And we lost to the best team in the country.
LSU played more Top 25 teams that season than anyone can remember in recent times and beat them all convincingly. Except for Bama, but still took all of Bama's best and still came up with the win at their house, they should have been no rematch! But LSU players were every bit as good as Alabama's ( the main reason for all the awards) and I think we had the edge with 2 senior QB's that had seen it all. I just didn't think they would lay an egg for the last game and that is totally on Miles. You are supposed to have your team fired up, ready to kill, turn'em loose and let it all hang out for the last game of the season to cap off the finest season ever and you do none of that! Come the frick on!

We were playing great football up until losing to UF in 03.
The situations are far from comparable.
I addressed this in another thread
We squeaked by UGA in a game where we were statistically dominated
Every other team we played was terrible

Florida is undefeated for a reason, THEY HAVE A VERY GOOD TEAM!
You must lead a sad, sad, sad miserable life! We win, you complain too. Maybe you consider finding a new team to support! May help your health in the long run.

easy schedule.
This must be why all of the BCS computers presently have UF ranked Number 1 according to Brad Edwards. He says it is their strength of schedule that is causing it.

No the lost to UF was worse because it reminded us for the 1/9 game.

How shitty is everyone else's schedule if THAT gets you #1?

If it doesn't come together this weekend, it isn't going to happen.
I would still love it for LSU to beat Bama.
there is still going to be plenty to play for, no matter what happens vs USCe.
10-2 LSU with a win over Bama would be a nice season, in retrospect - and might even get a BCS slot.

Nice seasons
Although we had national championship aspirations that may have been unrealistic at the start of this season, I think that 'nice seasons' (10-2 type record and a highly respectable bowl game) are what 98% of college teams can expect as a best case scenario.
The only schools that should EXPECT to compete for national championships every year at this point are:
Bama
Oregon
Ohio State (after this season)
Should LSU be on that list based on the talent we've recruited during the Miles era? Probably.
With Miles at the helm, we're pretty much like everyone else in CFB right now, chasing the teams listed above.
That said, show your support for the players and the school by showing up in the stands and rooting for them to execute and turn shite around.
All it takes is one game for things to start to click.
