Les gets paid to win football games.....not to pander to his players parents. As a coach he would respect the decision. As a parent, I'm sure emotion would cloud his judgement and subsequent reaction.

They're great at teaching how to live with failure and bury shame.

It's not that fans are convinced that Lee would have led a comeback. It's that everyone KNEW Jefferson wasn't.
Not 1 thing was done in an attempt to actually win that game.
Alex Hurst sucked, none of the experienced OLine depth was used. Jordan Jefferson sucked, the experienced QB on the bench wasn't used. None of the offensive players was able to make a play, Russell Shepard wasn't forced the ball 1 time in the entire game. TM7 never got a good shot at a punt return until it was too late, but he was never inserted to try to get a spark on a kickoff. That's just the personnel that sat on the bench and rotted. There were also no strategic plays attempted to swing momentum and make something happen. It was a failure of the highest order, and the failure to insert JLee is just the easiest thing to talk about to illustrate that point.
Miles has to answer to that at some point.

What better authority is there for dealing with shite like this?
The fan of any OTHER college football team that has lost a NC game since 1962 - the last of the 3 NC that Ole Miss "claims".

Unfortunately Lee's inability to handle pressure results in turnovers and Jeffersons results in sacks. Lesser of 2 evils.
Unfortunately it is not possible to have less than zero points, and the bottom line of what JJ had produced Monday night was zero.
So why not try something different?

Jesus H. Christ! He said why at the postgame PC. Have you not been paying attention to what Jarrett Lee does when pressured the past 4 years and realize that Bama was able to do it Monday night and STILL drop 7 or 8 guys back into coverage.
Lee also threw a beautiful pass to Randle last year to help seal the victory against Bama.
Less doesn't need to explain to the fans nor apologize to the fans for what happened on that most hideous night. However, it would be a good PR move on his part to give an in depth statement to the fans. It would help to dampen the flame of resentment and help assuage the fear of recruits that LSU is not a sinking ship and that LSU is still the place to come to win championships.

Something happened to divide the team in the locker room
and now some of the players that will probably get drafted in the 4th round are leaving.

To the SECr, meh, soon enough. I just love coming over here to browse through all of the logical, rational, and articulate thoughts that are posted. It truly is a breath of fresh air.

When the opposing D coordinator is scratching his head as to why JJ is still in there, then the switch probably should have been made.
i had gumps by me asking me why in the hell are we still playing JJ? why in the hell are we running the damn ball when we are two and three scores down late. why are we not running a 2 minute offense? mind boggling dumbassery from leslie miles. it is like we QUIT! i thought we were the team that made teams quit all year? but now we quit and gave up? what the hell was miles thinking? he did not even try! miles may never get that chance again. there are no guarantees in life. with all thse guys possibly leaving it very well could kill our NC hopes for next year even with big mett.

He certainly needs to give his salary back for that game, he certainly did not seem to have his mind on winning the game. I am not sure he wasn't pandering someone's parents.

But it IS possible to NET less than zero points if your QB is throwing interceptions that are returned for TD's against you pal.

Yep. A very nice 46 yard gain on 3rd and 13 and a blown coverage. Jefferson also found a seam in the zone threw a 75 yard TD pass to Randle earlier in the game....or do you not remember that?

No chit!
Bama stuffed us and thats it.
Some just need to get over it.
Some refuse to be pleased no matter how elite the season is and you just have to say f@@@ you if 13-1, the SEC title, and playing in the BCSCG is not good enough for you. imo

Paying attention for the last 4 years should tell you that a team that can't make a first down can't possibly win a game unless they make some kind of significant in-game change.

he said that he didn't put him in becauase we needed a more mobile QB. obviously you don't believe him.
i personally think he should have put lee in, but i still think bama would have won just as easily. they were the better team and it wasn't close on monday night.
move on. next year will be here before you know it.

You can make all the changes you want but if your getting your arse kicked in the trenches it won't matter. LSU's O-Line got their asses handed to them. They couldn't establish the run to set up play action and Bama just teed off in obvious passing situations.
