Exactly. Nobody should be upset about USC at #1. People need to be trying to figure out who gave Texas A&M three votes.

not me, I did give Kentucky their vote though

chicken, is there a way that each week our own personal poll could be carried over from the last week?

also on this weeks poll, i was evacuating Saturday night then slept late on Sunday, so i really missed most of what went on last week aside from the early games. Im not even sure who won and lost, but i voted anyway

Chicken may be able to, but I don't think we can go back and look at our votes. I always print mine out.

Well, I voted USC #1, but I don’t go on long rants about the media loves USC too much. USC is a really, really good program. They are the winningnest program this decade, they have one BCS title and another AP title to go with it, and they have won the Pac-10 (a pretty good conference) seemingly every year since the beginning of time. The reason the media hypes USC is because, get this, they are really good and a proven commodity. They’ve earned the benefit of the doubt.

Now, that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy it when they take the gas pipe against Stanford or when the Greatest Team Ever loses the Rose Bowl to a one-man team. I don’t like USC. I never have (I pretty much hate all NY and LA teams in all sports). But I still think – no, I know- they are really good.

My only real question with USC is their offensive line. Now, it could change, but the early returns were really good. Am I bound to keep voting them #1? Of course not. But right now, they are a team loaded with talent, they crushed a BCS team on the road, they have a consistent track record of success, and they are going to play the marquee matchup of the first month (vs. Ohio St) and I think a team that plays tough OOC games should be rewarded.

USC is a perfectly defensible #1 pick. As is Oklahoma. As is Florida. As is Georgia. Et cetera.

When USC loses to some crap team starting their 3rd string QB, will you drop USC below every team that looked better than them that week?

what about OU? they did lose to colorado last year and got beat by TTech when bradford was hurt

Could be because someone might have forgotten them at the 23 spot or something

i'm bout 95% sure that i may have done this and they just slid in

i put a lot of teams ranked 26 and move some up and down, and i think TAMU got lost in the shuffle
