Name one player Miles has EVER "thrown under the bus"....he didn't do that in this case, and he NEVER has.
The "clock it" call that he claims he never made. A few other late game clock mess ups that he either claimed wasn't his call or responsibility.

What about squib kicking it? Stupidest play in football, and it is Miles favorite late game kicking approach.

Wasn't a squib kick

We went to the prevent defense also. CB's were playing 10-12 yards off. Giving them everything underneath.

We were blitzing

WHY, WHY DO WE DO THIS??? If we stopped them ALL night long before, why do we feel we need to ease up on them and let them make easy yards??

I remember a Tennessee fan coming on here after Chavis left UT and came to LSU. The UT fan said they called him 3rd and Chavis because he played soft coverage of 3rd and long. Also mentioned his soft coverage when the other team was in a 2 minute drill. Said they were tired of it and we'd get tired of it too. Wish I could find that post...

That last poster just talked about it. Miles was running down the sideline telling JJ to spike the ball and in the press conference he stated that he didn't tell him to spike the ball. Not sure if this constitutes as throwing someone under the bus or not?

I remember thinking after the Clemson loss that Chavis would never run soft/prevent again in a close game.

All I know is that I hope they learned something. If they get in a similar situation, they need to attempt to put the nail in the coffin and not rely on how things have gone in the game up until that point. You can do that against average teams, but not against teams that win all the time. You have to leave them with no chance.

Since it's happened to the Saints in 4 of their 5 losses, maybe we should fire Payton too.

We lost because our guys didn't make a tackle in bounds

It wasn't a prevent

A squib kick was not called

We just gave it away....plain and simple
