The last 10 minutes of the Mizzou/Bama game should be required watching for our BB team

Gist: Mizzou up by roughly 20, and can’t do anything wrong, while Bama could do nothing right. Bama then turned up the heat incredibly on D, and battled back to where the game went down to the last second. Bama lost, but actually blew a couple of opportunities to take the lead in the last 60 seconds.
I pull for our Tigers as hard as anyone, but I haven’t seen the fire in them to dig themselves out of a hole like Bama did today. We’ve got talent- hope things turn around.

We actually did that a lot last season (vcu, Auburn come to mind) only to piss it away at the end. The season before we saw a lot of double digit leads dwindled down in the second half. tPear has to get these guys playing hard for 40 minutes

So the lesson is give up cuz you’re gonna lose anyway?

No- the lesson is that, even when the ball is not bouncing your way, you can turn things around with well focused effort.
Even though Bama did not get the win, I can guarantee you that, as a result of this game, Bama is more energized and Mizzou is doubting themselves.

Great game. Mizzou players showed a lot of energy.Got a lot of steals, scored in the paint and rebounded. Shut down the bama 3s. They have developed a culture.

That 2019 team was so fun to watch.

Quotes from consecutive posts in this thread. It’s comical how opposite these opinions are

This is exactly our formula for many of our wins over the previous two seasons

Bama showed a ton of energy too, especially at the end. It was a great game. I think it takes a ton of energy to beat bama. That's why they have destroyed LSU twice. We don't have the energy or the coaching to beat them. It was nice to see a team take them down. If we could beat them, I don't think we would be doubting ourselves - just the opposite. OU beat bama last week and went in and beat UT yesterday. I don't think beating bama hurt their confidence.

The message is you can't dig yourself out of a hole unless you play defense. Period.

Studying the scores of all SEC games yesterday should be required by all LSU fans.
There are no dominant SEC teams this season. Who ever has a hot hand will win. In close games, the last blown call by an official often determines winners and losers.
