Bus won’t sit a third year. JD is coming back. You can figure the rest out.

I don’t think this is etched in stone. He may be willing to sit one more year to take the reigns. JD5 decision doesn’t affect Howard. Nuss’s decision affects Howard.

I don't think florida likes to sling it more than normal. They run alot also. And as far as USC, Williams is a sophmore and Nuss isn't beating him out. OSU has McCord as their backup who they seem to like. Bama may call, because their backup cant throw for shite but their freshman 3rd stringer was highly recruited. Dart is a sophmore also. Kinda bad year to transfer to contender or to a QB coach guru this offseason if a QB wants immediate playing time

National sports news media, by heaping such high praise on LSU's backup QB, recounting his highlights and abilities vs Ga made Nuss a top target of the transfer portal
dramatic much ?

He could also go in the portal at any moment in the next month.

Yes, but Kelly knows this and he has a bowl game in his pocket he can dangle.

Why is it that just about every other top ten program has many QBs that are 4 or 5 stars and are willing to compete against one another and stay until their turn arrives. One break away season for a top QB is sufficient to be highly drafted.

Becoming a top QB to reach to the NFL successfully is a process. It rarely takes place from a player simply walking on campus as a freshman. So many nuances and techniques to be mastered. It doesn't happen overnight.

Trust the process.

How is their infatuation with and focus on LSU's backup a product of my doing?

I'd say, he stoll has the same chance to prove himself to be the starter. Howard that is.

he will likely be here through the spring at least.

Doubt it, unless he plans to leave the SEC. The deadline to transfer within the SEC is Feb 1st.

That breakout season also rarely happens when a kid only starts for one year.

I guess you don't remember Mark Sanchez from USC. He only started 1 year, left early and was a first round draft choice.

You really believe that teams don’t have some kind of indirect representative talking some players into going in the portal?

I mean, it’s pretty damn early and you’re shocked there’s no stories on him talking to teams?

With their QB declaring for the draft, Fla is desperate, Ohio St may be desperate too to repay a debt to LSU.

Yes, I believe that. I believe that teams don't reach out to players until they're in the portal, and that most (if not all) teams take that rule very seriously. NCAA violations of rules around contacting other teams players are very serious, easily proven, very difficult to hide.

I think what sometimes happens is, the player reaches out to the team and has a conversation with some teams he's interested in, and then from those discussions decides to enter the portal so he can have more in-depth conversations.

My company is like this. If my boss leaves, and then recruits me -- that's a violation of his employment agreement, and of an agreement we all sign when we leave. BUT, if I call my old boss asking about maybe moving over there .... that's an entirely different situation that my company really has no recourse.

It matters a lot who calls who -- I'm pretty sure college football/NCAA rules are the same.

If he has the kind of season we hope he does, he can go pro after next year.

If not, it will be an open quarterback competition netwalker will probably win...
