Whatever man. The comparison is a false one.

Loyalists like the bonapartists and the royalists

Anybody that thinks some of those major donors To LSU are going to pay that large of a buyout or full of shite. Those people did not get that much money from being stupid.
Why would donors pay it? The LSU athletic department gets paid $40 Million/year from the SEC. That's $80 Million paid to LSU since CBK came to town. Another $40 Million paid this year.

BK had the resume and was a “good” hire. It doesn’t appear to be working out. Who would you have hired in retrospect? Lincoln, Napier? If you’re going to critical the hire tell us in retrospect what you’ve have done differently.
I would not have guaranteed ANYONE not named Nick Saban or Kirby Smart $100 million over 10 years. I certainly wouldn't have guaranteed it to a coach in his 60s who's never won a major bowl game.

Are you also counting all of the players that signed with LSU shortly after BK was hired?
So that's a totally new class, and no, that does not count, because those are players that Kelly brought in.
And if you remember, LSU only signed 13 recruits in that class. The rest were transfers.

I agree but I would go with young dynamic coaches, like the NFL has done. I would pay for 5 million total for first 3 years with incentives for achievement like over 10 wins 1/2 million . And LSU has right of first refusal should they succeed and want to jump elsewhere, LSU can match if desired.
This 10yr crap is complete stupidity. There are some really talented innovative coaches out there that just want a chance. Coaches like BK have had more than their chance and a new direction is needed at LSU. LSU is not getting 1 million dollar productivity out of BK this year and that is on our money machine AD.

Lulz, good luck getting anyone halfway decent.

Woodward was friends with Jimbo Fisher. I don’t think Texas A&M knew that at the time. When Saban & Fisher got into over Saban throwing Fisher under the bus for beating him in recruiting with that # 1 class, I believe it was Finebaum that interviewed Woodward about their fight because he’s friends with both and Woodward’s comment was something like “I’m not getting in the middle of two hillbillies fighting.” Not sure if there’s a connection with him & BK other than they’re both nerdy Catholic school boys.

Everyone is talking about the symptoms.
The disease is Woody,
He hired Jimbo with a ridiculous contract.
He hired a washed out Kelly with an even more ridiculous contract.
To be fair, Jimbo's original contract wasn't THAT bad in retrospect, they gave him a ridiculous extension in 2021 for no reason.

Cool…so who’s in charge of the kids making all these mistakes?
Posted on 11/18/24 at 1:27 am to DallasTiger11
Endowment money comes from boosters and boosters paid Fisher’s buyout. Texas has over a billion dollars in they’re endowment fund and I beiieve Texas A&M is right under them for the most money, LSU maybe has a few million in their endowment. Either way, the buyout would come from the LSU boosters aka TAF not the school’s revenue.

The players don’t like him nor respect him and it shows. BK is a quirky, awkward dude with zero personality. These kids don’t connect with him. He is unemotional and comes across cold. He can’t even fake it well that he actually gives a crap about the players or the team.

Firing BK would be the same as Aggy firing Jimbo. It’s gonna come from the big time boosters that don’t like losing.
Endowment and athletic money have zero to do with each other.
LSU athletics makes an assload of money and has consistently been one of the few programs that was self sustaining and profitable.
LSU athletics via TAF does a good job of having a mixture of mega powerful donors and then getting small bits from everyone.
We don’t have a Phil knight or t boone which is a good thing.
We also don’t have the stable of billionaires like SMU but we do well in pulling from a much larger base.
