The University of Louisiana at Lafayette has no more right to call themselves "University of Louisiana" than does the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
I'd like to see somebody from UL-M rise up and get a State Judge to enforce a ban on UL-L calling themselves UL since the Louisiana Legislature has never officially approved a legal name change.
UL-M should either file legal action or put "Louisiana" on the front of all their athletic uniforms since they have just as much right to be called "University of Louisiana" as does UL-L.....

People from Monroe don't need validated by using a name different than the one they have, Lafayette must do it for some type of affirmation.

The name of the school is not "Louisiana", it's ULL.

If LSU wanted to, they could refer to themselves as Louisiana State. Just like Florida State and Penn state do. I have no problem with UL Lafayette calling themselves UL.

I know a lot of ULL fans and actually they don't. I know just as many "tools" in the LSU fan base as I do in the ULL fan base.
