yall had your chance to be important in 07 and blew it by choking against Pitt

Honestly, combining this with the "how bad are WVU fans" thread, how horrible were these gumps after that game?

Sounds like the pressure will be more than a Mountaineer can bear.

Can't wait for Geno Smith to have three or four picks. It's bad when your running game doesn't exist anymore.

If that doesn't work, you should try what Auburn does (buying refs & players).

Wow I've never seen a team with so much pressure riding on one game. You need a win to stay in the NC hunt and just to stay somewhat relevant in the national picture. You also have the microscopic chance of joining the SEC. Your showing saturday night could go a long way in that regard. And the WVU fanbase has the pressure of not imploding if a defeat happens. A post game showing like 2007 vs Pitt, or a fan reaction like during the basketball game when Huggins had to calm you guys down will not help your cause for SEC conference love. It wouldn't help your national image either. Lots of pressure for one game.

WVU has never won a National Championship. Infact WVU has the most wins by any D1 school to not have won one. If we were to beat you guys then that would put us in the driver seat the rest of the way.

No you would not, you would need losses from OU, SEC powers, Boise for Gods sake.

Play a good team. Like us.

Apparently WVU has earned the respect of no one. Which to be honest were use to it but this time it stings.

See above, you have a weak schedule, no national results, geographically it makes no sense, no fertile recruiting base. Would you suggest conferences just bring you on to give you a boost. How Democratic of you.

sorry but LSU won't lose this game; we'd have to have major MAJOR mistakes to lose this one and don't think you're gonna do much against our D

sorry but you aren't quite the caliber

Actually there is more on the line for LSU. An undefeated WV team does not jump a one loss SEC team. Boise will probably go undefeated and OK may go unblemished. Either one of these two schools will play the SEC champ(LSU/Bama). LSU will have the hardest strenght of schedule this year so this will be considered strongly when that time comes.

if things go well for WV in the first quarter, or go badly for LSU in the first half, it will be a long game for LSU with the game in doubt until the last drive.

its a game with a ball that bounces funny. no sure thing.

I take LSU in this one. I would not bet the house.

I remember some guy used to run computer simulations of the NCAA basketball tournament and publish it in the paper before the first game. he ran it a million times. there were NO teams that did not win several simulations. even 16 seeds.
14 seeds won thousands.

WV can win. Its not likely though. 1 in 4. 1 in 3? 1 in 5?
some of that.

Well said! I agree with the semi no-respect comment but the facts are you guys are knocking on the door once again. 2007 was as close as you have EVER been. Let's not regress....

I wouldn't mind you guys winning and then we kick your arse in the championship game! All is well that ends well. Good luck!
