They lost to fricking Arkansas and got run off the field by UGA, tonight.

LSU and Tennessee were both playing meaningful games tonight.

Tennessee barely playing more meaningful games going forward.

Doubtful.

Coaches very rarely lose teams, it's just a thing fans say when things are going bad.

It was a 1 score game in the 4th…against one of best teams in the country…on the road.

We were run off the field at aTm, and in our own building against Bama, and shite the bed against Florida. That doesn’t even mention that we weren’t ready for fricking USC. Are you really trying to compare LSU to Tennessee based on their 2024 seasons?

FWIW- with the high turnover rate, I think it’s possible to lose the team one year, and get it back the following year. Personally, I’m not “done” with BK. I’m giving him year 4 before I pick a side.

All I’m saying is I’d prefer Heupel if given the choice.

Public opinion doesnt matter. Saban was widely disliked when he was at LSU

That’s correct. Public opinion does not matter when you are a successful head coach that wins.

What a dumb fricking observation

Looks pretty similar to me

Close losses don't mean anything. A loss is a loss. Unless Tennessee is winning the SEC or playoff games, we are the same.

Based on what? Because we lost?

That's another "fanism", anytime you lose its because you weren't "prepared".

Like I said, one team is well positioned to go 10-2. We are not the same.

LSU lost the first two season openers under Kelly. They had zero business coming out ho-hum and playing vanilla against USC. Yeah, I’m saying they weren’t prepared. They also weren’t prepared for Bama. aTm and Florida? Maybe so.

Heupel has also been there a year longer.

Big Cat is awesome

And he’s spot on about BK

There is no other reason. Nobody was offended by the fake southern accent. Nobody, other ND fans, were offended when he trashed them and pointed the finger everywhere but inwards.
Nothing is occurring that wasn't apparent when he took the job.

Since canning Fulmer after 2008, here are Tennessee's records:

7-6
6-7
5-7
5-7
5-7
7-6
9-4
9-4
4-8
5-7
8-5
3-7

Sorry, that's not the same as what BK took over. Give Kelly year 4. Fine. I agree that he deserves year 4. I HOPE he succeeds wildly in year 4. I stand by what I said...I'd rather Heupel. The program trajectory is not the same.

LSU made it a 5 point game with 10 min left in the 4th at A&M.

Tennessee was shut out in entire 2nd half at UGA.

Maybe, Tennessee makes the playoff, this year, but I would say both programs are on the same level.

Why not? It isn't like there were many players remaining either way.

I doubt Tennessee fans loved the feeling of the trajectory of their program last year.

I mean they got blasted by Florida and Mizzou.

Absolutely not

TN is a far better program right now

It's hard to point to more than 3 or 4 other coaches though and say they're definitely better,

Kirby Smart

Dan Lanning
Curt Cignetti
Ryan Day
Josh Heupal
Steve Sarkisian
Lane Kiffin
Marcus Freeman
Kalen Deboer
