Our defense is a work in progress. Errors will continue to pop up but not as bad as against LaTech. There was improvement this week. It was a bad night for taking first pitch strikes that are off speed sliders or curves, some time change ups because Gibson was hot and could throw everything for strikes. He only threw balls when he wanted to. The approach by LSU this year has been don’t swing at off speed pitches especially early in the at bat, let the pitcher hurt himself into trouble. That takes patience and you can’t miss after you’re at 0-2. Will we see a pitcher that hot again…..likely. However I agree with the approach and there is a lot of room for improvement with 2 strikes.

This is an Omaha team.

So you base that on the fact that we beat Towson and Southern this weekend?

No way at the 4th game that you can understand how a team will react to poor pitching and getting down early. Now Jay knows more about his team. I expect things will be different. Tech lost 2 out of 3 this weekend so we will see in a few weeks in the rematch how LSU will react.

That is an ignorant point. LSU made each team have a losing record. You take away the losses from LSU and replace them with wins then each team has a winning record

I think it is the worst thing that could've happened. Now we have you hanging around. Disappear, sir. We all understand how proud you are but have moved on, you should too

This is true, but La Tech is not one of those crappy, lucky teams. We play them again in a week or two. Results will speaks volumes.

LA Tech (a super regional team with an outside shot for Omaha)

La Tech just got their shite kicked in by Tulane. How are they a shoe-in for a Super Regional?
