First, Blake Baker isn’t the problem. He’s working with a bare cupboard… but I think that the guys he has running his defense will be able to recruit the players we need going forward. I like his scheme I just think Sage Ryan and Major Burns as well as a few others aren’t very talented.

Offensive playcalling continues to be pitiful. When we finally find things that work we never see them again and go back to the same dive play where Mason Taylor goes in motion and literally stops right in the running lane. Makes no sense. End arounds, direct snaps, misdirection was all working last night and then poof, it’s gone.

We drive the field and are in the red zone and then poof we have to either kick FGs or we turn it over.

The recruiting class coming in is filled with studs on both sides of the ball… but I cannot trust Sloan to be able to do anything with them.

Can someone explain to me why we continually run the zone read or whatever the frick it's called now when we hand the ball off to the RB in shotgun formation when our QB has absolutely zero intention to keep it and run?

Why the frick do we do that?

It's our main running play. We do it on 4th downs and the defense knows exactly what we're about to do.

Am I missing something?

His scheme will work better with a mobile QB, but it's absolutely insane the offense we are running currently with Nuss.

Nuss has played terrible but the fact that this is not mentioned constantly baffles me.

I agree. We honestly need Nuss under center more and allow the RB to get a head of steam. But the under center qb is a dying breed.

Undercenter would give us a better run game, and we could use play action to get ball to Anderson and Taylor more consistently.

It's hard to call a good offensive gameplan with multiple turnovers vs good teams.

OC needs to go. Nussmeier needs to sit the rest of the year and let a mobile QB come in. We have one on the bench that just needs reps.

And BK needs to go

The point is, he doesn't have a running QB and refuses to adapt to what he has.

Sloan is an abject failure.

Because no matter who your OC is, he runs Brian Kellys offense.
