Cotie McMahon from Ohio St is in the portal and she posted a LSUWbb Instagram post of Tate's wife doing a devotional with the team before the game. Could mean nothing. She's good but she's a wildcard and I don't see her fit. I'd be very surprised if she wanted to come off the bench but she's not better than Mikaylah and she definitely ain't a Morrow replacement.

Assuming departures played out that way, that would be eight. Four of those spots will be filled by incoming freshmen.

Incoming Transfers (?)
Serah Williams (Wisconsin)
Another Decent Big (Preferably at least 6-5 and big bodied)
Ta’Niyah Latson (Florida State) Probably a pipe dream but a guy can dream

Now if Flau’jae Johnson leaves, that would upset the whole apple cart, though I do believe she returns. We likely will have one more surprise transfer. I’m just saying this is a plausible way for next season’s roster to look like.

Anyone see the uproar on Twitter over Mikaylah potentially entering the portal? Not sure how true it is but it was interesting…
And the inside discord forum on the transfers and coaching leaks posted this which was up for a bit

I’d hate to see that and think it’s someone talking out of their arse but who knows? I’ve said over and over the last couple years that MKW is the best pure shooter in the country and we draw up no plays for her and make no effort to set picks, etc. to get her open. She may feel the same way and is frustrated by it.
In a worst case scenario, Flau’jae goes pro and MKW transfers and we are in deep shite.

I hate the internet when it comes to rumors like this because it makes zero sense for her to leave. Shes was an All American this year and is a Louisiana girl thru and thru. Also LSU minus South Carolina and Uconn is the premier basketball program in the country. If anything its she just wants a bigger NIL deal.

Not too bright until we get a bona fide point guard and a female version 3-point shooter a la Pistol Pete will this team ever go much beyond where it so valiantly fought and got to today.

Its all BS IMO. Yes players transfer all the time for different reasons. But you never see the best player for an elite basketball program leave. Unless her and Mulkey secretly cant stand each other. There are still other coaches on the team though.

If she is the best shooter than she has been struggling. Way too many hot n cold games and bad timed turnovers.
Also her foot speed is slow. If she goes she goes. Go get a Fluwiley type from USCe clutch 3s and can drive to the hoop.
