The refs explanation was horrible - as was the officiating all day. He said that they could not determine possession. What he should have said was that the runner regained possession and was down by contact. The ball was taken from him after the play had ended.
The ref’s explanation was perfect. Yours is horrible and incorrect. No one knows if Emery regained possession. It looked like he probably did, but there was not enough to go on to rule one way or the other, so they let the call stand.

Announcers had to be drunk or something...very clear that Emery scoops the ball under his chest or shoulder and is down before a struggle continues with Arkansas players reaching to strip the ball, which they finally get. Good call by the refs.

Another bad call by refs, but announcers agreed was wrong was when Davis caught the touchdown pass and controlled the ball until the Arkansas defender rolls over him after being down out of bounds. Bad Call!

I agree with this but in ref speak that is essentially what they said. "No clear recovery" would mean that Arky never showed to have clear possesion of the ball meaning that Emery did as well.

I thought the annoucers did this injustice by not seeing that as the refs jumped in the Arky player pulled the ball away from Emery on the ground. The replay ref obvoiously saw that because, yes, he said it was a fumble.

On another note LSU had FIVE fumbles yesterday but only lost one... FIVE!

Marshall, Emery, Kirlin, Stingley, Finley.

The officials were bad but Stinchcomb was worse. Maybe he has CTE b/c he was making zero sense. Ricks was targeting but Arky wasn’t? Are you crazy? Their DB launched and our guys head snapped back. Overall the targeting rule is not good. To kick the guy out is extreme and then to extend it to the next game is awful. If they do it twice in a game then eject them.

It was crystal clear ! Emery got the ball back and was on the ground and the guy took the ball. The refs could have anounced what happened better like "Emery did fumble then recovered his own fumble and was on the ground and down" I think they said no clear recovery. So announcers then compare to is backwards spike. They Sucked ALL GAME !

The fumble by Emery
It's really hard to watch any game with their stupid SJW bull shite pasted allover the fields.

Funny, I never noticed it once the game started.
