The difference between this "CEO" and the last "CEO" is startling.

Put the 2019 season aside for a while. I'm talking strictly about how a program is built + run. Brian Kelly is making CEO type moves and bringing in great coaches (more to come). In the rebuild process you may lose a few, but Saban loses coaches every year. The last CEO (Coach Ed O) by contrast made disastrous hires on a whim (a la Pelini), no elite coaches wanted to come work for him and the team was mired in mediocrity for the last 2 years. Anyone can catch lightning in a bottle, but THIS, ladies and gents, is how a PROGRAM is built.

No you don’t just catch the greatest team in history in a bottle you fool! He did a lot of things correctly that year dont try to deny it he just lost control after all the fame and maybe losing 20 nfl players and two of the best coordinators in the country

You’re wasting your time. The 50% of the LSU fan base that represent the single worst fans in college football are freaking out.

I hope every one is these sorry asses bitching and moaning on here “transfer” out and start following another college.

No time for pussies.

Exactly Raymond is a talent accumulator, we’re 117th in defense this year. He can’t develop shite.

Well, then we should just let several coaches go every year. I mean if Saban does it...

BTW, Brian Kelly is NOT Nick Saban.

yes, but it was a lot of luck.

Remember that O had Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, Marshall, Helaire, and the entire O line in 2018 and wasted them.

O gets credit for 2019, but rational fans know it was indeed lightning in a bottle, not a master stroke of program building.

It died as quickly as it came.

Where are these elite coaches Brian Kelly is hiring? Looks like he is just hiring people he worked with in the past. Thats fine but he doesnt have a great coaching tree. ND was solid but they never beat anyone worth a shite while he was there. Feasted on crappy teams.

He hasn’t even hired coordinators yet. Hop off his dick for a minute.

They get promotions, advance their careers at other institutions or the nfl ranks.

Sometimes you don’t have to have elites working for you, you have to be the elite minded and control what’s going on.. that’s management 101. You make everyone around you better. BK should be solid and he’s done it a lot longer than any of us.

I hate to defend O, but this is not a fair criticism. Burrow was not there until fall camp and the team got better as the year went on.
2018 was a very good season and a springboard to the 2019 championship

I am 100% on board the BK train but no reason to shite on what O did. He had success here but couldn’t sustain it. Very few coaches can.

Nick Saban is the best college football coach. as far as I know, Saban isn't a genius or Mensa member. Whatever he does, others can replicate, if they spend the amount of effort Saban pours forth.

Football is not String Theory or astrophysics. To say, a coach can't coach as good as Saban makes no sense. Saban has advantages at Alabama because he has won NC's but his knowledge of X's and O's, nutrition, and strength training is not exclusive to him only. He just works at smaller details that other coaches don't investigate or bother to implement. The recruiting wins the games and not being a dumbass like coach O helps too.

So how do you explain the last 2 seasons?

How does one go from leading the greatest offensive team in college football to the dumpster fire the last 2 seasons have been? 60-year olds should be able to manage new snatch better.
