I agree that LSU is lacking in quality wins recently.

I am personally sick over the direction of the LSU team.

I do not think that you can draw meaningful conclusions by comparing two team's wins over different competition in the first week of the season.

Ok Mot good stats Whats their teams stadium capacity? Whats their budget and our budget. We have similar stats but far better players and far inferior coaches? Would seem so. And how about the legendary play calls against OU in the Fiesta Bowl? Hook and Ladder, Statue of Liberty? Do you think Gary Crowtons Jehova Witness arse has any of those plays in his book?

Except at the QB position...this little geeky dude runs cirles around Jefferson in the decision-making department.

Probably not. Beating a BCS team at full strength was a huge win for Boise though. Depending on how the season goes, LSU needs a stellar performance vs WVU in a few weeks.

Uh, I think VT had ALL of their first stringers tonight? We played a team that was missing 13 starters!

Stadium capacity? No clue, not sure what it has to do with turnovers and penalties.

Budget? No clue, not sure what it has to do with turnovers and penalties.

They ran some trick plays. Cool, good for them.

I want us to be coached better, you'll get no argument from me on that. I'm only pointing out the idiocy of the Boise blowfest.

this Boise blowfest is comical.

I could care less about Boise, I really like their Head Coach and OC and how they coach their kids and how their teams play each year. Period.

Also, I will ask that if they can coach those kids up to that degree imagine what those same coaches could do with 3 times as much talent at a school like LSU? I would be willing to find out. Same goes for Gary Patterson as well.

There QB is BETTER PREPARED! At the Manning Passing Camp everyone was dazzled with Jefferson's physical makeup but he hasn't been developed. Crowton's gimicky offense and lack of ability to develop a QB is the major problem with our team. Lets Fire Crowton and promote Gonzales right now. If we don't act quickly we could damage the best recruiting class in the last 20 years.

Wait, he has a gimicky offense yet you were lauding Boise St's play calls against OU?

Sure, but VT only had 4 returning starters on D. Some likely had playing time last year, but so did some of the UNC players.

I am not trying to make excuses for LSU coaches, but what we have after one week are indicators. We don't have enough data to make good inferences.

If those 13 wouldn't have been missing our arse would have gotten kicked badly.

Actually they (Boise.St) don't run a gimicky offense they run the West Coast offense. Just FYI

2002. Not sure about the rest. Still a big win for Boise, a team usually far down the recruiting rankings. They have a few instances of overachieving, which is something I want to see from LSU again.

Your point? Boise doesn't do that week in and week out and season in and season out. LSU under Miles on the other hand..... does

2010 week 1 stats have been posted. 2009 stats have been posted.

2008:

We had 20 turnovers, they had 26.

We had 82 penalties for 649 yards (49.9 yds/gm), they had 93 penalties for 839 yards (64.5 yds/gm).

Should I keep going or do you want to just go ahead and admit you are talking out of your arse with this penalty/turnover angle?

i doubt we would have been playing our second teamers in the second half if they were. let's be real here. we shot ourselves in the foot mostly.
