We all know kids go to these games for the candies, popcorns, dipping dots and what not...So these have to get cheaper. Its simple economies, sell more for lower price. Also would help adding some vending machines so we dont spend game time standing in line.

As long as people are willing to pay, they’ll continue to charge outrageous prices.

which is why Alleva is perfectly fine having high prices. Think a kid is gonna accept “sorry son those skittles cost too much.” “But daaaaaaaadddd”

And better. I'd pay higher prices for decent food but $5 for disgusting nachos. Luckily my son will never ask for them again.

Concessions are expensive at sporting events. This is not isolated to just LSU. Why are they expensive? Because what other options do you have? You can’t leave and go somewhere else.

They’re actually dropping at venues around the country and resulting in higher attendance, sales, and overall profit. The old guard is just so afraid of changing the way things are done.

It always cracks me up when people blame Aleva like this is only LSU and everywhere else prices are “reasonable”

There’s a little more to it than that, like they only have 3-4 hours 1-2 days a week for basketball to sell the stuff. There is a carrying cost to inventory and a lot of what you don’t sell today is waste

I tried stuffing him up right before the game with a Happy Meal. But still at half time he wanted a box of candies. He spent the rest of the time sulking till Naz Reid put in a dunk and then he was back...so thanks Naz for saving my dollars and my day!!!

Which is exactly why if they brought the prices down they wouldn't have the waste. Also need to hire people who give a darn about the customer. I've literally had food thrown down onto the counter. These people don't care at all and I don't expect much but they can try to act happy. This goes for many fast food places though and when I get that type of service, I never go back.

Instead of over stocking they can simply run out. I'd rather have decent food and service if they ran out sometimes. Have volunteers serve the food to save on cost. There are ways to do it right and efficiently.

They're at least trying a little. They have Chick fil a and Fuzzys now.

Might as well kick out the Aramark shite and make every concession area a different restaurant.

Big time football long ago left the affordability of the average young fan with kids. A whole generation was left behind. The first come uppings is the drop of TV audience and revenues. Eventually as the current fans die off, the stadiums will empty, the ticket and concession prices will fall, parking will get cheaper, and promotions will be offered to increase attendance and interest.

It’s the circle of life baby.

No offense do you don’t know much about business do you? If you can tell us what the EXACT price of every item that would meet 100% demand, no more, no less, then you could make a fortune as a consultant

Atlanta concessions

Profits

quote:

The approach has paid dividends. Despite a 50 percent decrease in prices for food and nonalcoholic drinks compared to prices in the Georgia Dome, the amount spent per fan increased by 16 percent, Blank’s sports company, AMB Sports and Entertainment, said on Thursday.

They also added free style coke machines around the arena for free refill which helps them sell more of their highest margin item, soft drinks. And without having increase staffing and pack lines.

You people are such children.

Half of you are constantly bitching about the cost of going to the games and the other half are screaming that we need to pay the coaches more.

I can just hear the whines when these vending machines jam.

LSU fans are such pussies.

I'd like to see some documentation on that please.

Has there been a concurrent decrease in the cost of the tickets as well? These are businesses and profits must be made. You can't give away a product and make a profit, right?

Well you can either follow the second link I posted or here’s another. It’s not in crayon, or have pictures but maybe you can find someone to read it to you.

Not Fox News

quote:

Cannon said Thursday that the Falcons recently finished No. 1 among all NFL teams, in an internal survey conducted by the league, in food quality, price to value ratio, speed of service and variety.

quote:

Because fans weren't deterred by the concession prices, Cannon said that, on average, 6,000 more fans walked through the gates two hours before the game, which not only meant more time to sell food and drink, but also helped to ease wait times at the games to the goal of no more than five minutes.

And that’s literally just one example. Sorry someone did something different and it works. Not sure why it has you so wound up.
