True it sometimes rains OUTSIDE the stadium and wind blows some water in, but it never actually rains in the stadium.
If it's a light rain, the heat rising up from the stadium will evaporate it before it hits the ground. I've looked up in the sky before from the lower bowl and seen rain falling, and not felt a drop. The upper decks were probably getting damp, but the lower bowl was completely dry.

That was the first LSU game I ever went to.

The chance of rain is never.....brush me up on my SEC history please
I think it was Auburn 1972 and a day game. It was raining right up to the time the ball was placed on the tee for the kickoff. From that point forward sunshine!
1972 LSU-Auburn in BR was at night. 35-7 as Bert Jones went off!
1970 LSU at Auburn was rainy however. 17-9 LSU
1969 LSU-Auburn in BR was a day game. 21-20 LSU

Hurricane Hilda produced enough humidity in 64 to move the florida game to the end of the season.

The clothes that I wore to the Miami game in 1988, along with the wallet I ruined at the same game, call bull shite on this one
I wore a camo poncho and duck boots to the Miami Hurricane Game. Even thought it never rained, it was the only game I ever left early.

You're right! The 79 Bama game was 3-0. Despite horrible weather conditions, it was a great game.

From about 1959 through 1973, it did, indeed, NEVER rain in Tiger Stadium. Key moment in this stretch was Deitzel's return to TS in 1966 with USCe. Raind all day-- stopped just before kickoff. Weather quirk then morphed into legend!
