Three things...the capacity of handling pressure was again proven, especially JD...bold coaching adjustments in personnel are intellegent, we have shored up our lb issues and OL issues because of it....finally the fruits of the transfer portal are showing, we look like the DBU, also USC is another testament...Lets Geaux!

BTW Im that guy that started the season with 7-5 ceiling.

That implies we beat Tenn, UF, OM and Ark or A&M and lose to bama and 1 of the above. We could easily lose all 5 of those.

I don't see us winning more than 1 of the 5 unless
JD runs for 100 and completes 65+% of his passes, the OL gels, cain & Emery produce 150 to 200 yrds rushing per gameand Boutte breaks out.

after a few weeks I'm not scared of UF, AU or Texas 8&4. Ole Miss is winnable for sure. Arkansas could be a dud.

Tenn might be the 2nd best team on our schedule.

ETA: I'm not saying any are wins but all are winnable for sure.

Our ceiling is 14-1. It may not be very likely, but until it isn't, it is possible.

You don’t think we can beat more than one of those teams unless JD rushes for 100 AND Emery rushes for 150-200 AND Boutte goes off? That seems a bit extreme.

I wouldn’t be particularly surprised with anywhere from 3-4 to 5-2 over our remaining SEC schedule, which puts us anywhere from 7-5 to 9-3 overall. Right now I think 7-5 or 8-4 are probably the most likely outcomes.

Im talking about an achievable ceiling here...right now we are capable of beating anybody in our schedule...including Bama

The way our defense played against Miss St, we are capable of beating anyone. Will we I don't know, but we can.

Not gonna lie, outside of Georgia, this is the weakest I have ever seen college football through 3 weeks. I could put 20 team in the #2-4 spot. Usually by week 3 or 4 you can narrow down 5-7 teams you think will likely make the playoffs. There are no teams on LSUs schedule INCLUDING Bama that are obviously better than LSU or don't have major flaws themselves. Nearly every SEC game is gonna be a pickem just about. This is gonna be a crazy year in the sec west.

UF doesn't have a passing TD yet. They aren't killing people. Ark looked bad against Mizzou St and TAMU hasn't looked great offensively all year. All are ore than winnable.

We still need a lot of work.

But with the way the SEC is this year, 9-3 or even 10-2 isn’t off the table.

But we have a lot to clean up. The next three games will be telling.

The "ceiling" can be defined as the best record that a team could reasonably be expected to achieve if players and coaches perform to their full potential, and possibly minimal injuries. With the talent and coaching on this team, LSU's ceiling was never 7-5 - they have the 8th most talented roster in football, lots of experienced players, and what looked like a solid depth at most positions. 9-3 was always well within the realm of possibility, and still is.

None of the receivers are going to break out if JD doesn't get better with reads

While possible, I think 8-4 would be a big win. I believe with the FSU loss we finish 7-5. We lose to UTk, Ole Miss, Alabama, & Arkansas.

I think you are fricking stupid.
Jayden Daniels stats so far vs power 5 opponents:

Passing stats:
66.1% CMP
209.5 YPG
8.9 YPC
5.9 YPA
3 TD
0 INT

Rushing stats:
16 RPG
103.5 YPG
6.5 YPA
1 TD

*
TD = total touchdowns
INT = total interceptions
YPG = yards per game
YPA = yards per attempt
YPC = yards per completion
RPG = rushes per game

The kid has been a very good quarterback and is already doing what you said he needs to.

I like where we are, but our schedule is filled with tough opponents. Only losing 2 more games the rest of the way is too optimistic.
