homer to biased homer = catcher to backcatcher

Do you know of any catchers that are front catchers?

Definitely not the point of my response. Just an observation. I wouldn't know where to differetiate your terms.

But, I bet if we were talking snakes, you wouldn't consider redundancy correct.

An admin shouldn't take shite personally if he acts as an admin. unless he's being attacked for his admin actions. He could easily have sent a personal warning to Jester to tone it down a little. It's entirely possible that Jester didn't know he was an admin. I didn't. I've been on here for a year or so.

So is it the defense's choice of when to assess the penalty? Seems like they so rarely take it on the PAT

When it's dead ball, yes, it is the defense's option. Like in that game I would guess you would really only see taking it on the try if it's a last ditch effort or if you know that the offense is going to need to go for 2.

Why? This particular admin did not ban him (assuming that's why Jester never came back into the thread) because of anything he said in general. Speaking as what sounded like any old poster, he basically told Jester to shut up and quit giving his opinion...to which Jester told him to get bent...as most of us would.

Anyone got an answer for what happened here?

FWIW, I have no clue who the admins here are, and don't really care.

Don't agree. I'm a homer. I am not biased.

Chicken rat snake?

Back to topic. Direct quote from Miles:

quote:

"If I'm the official, I'm making that exact call," Miles said Monday. "How would you feel if that was your son playing for the opponent when that guy decides to taunt you? In reality, when you look at what Brad Wing did, I don't know if it was more joy than taunting and I'm not certain it was flagrant in any way, but that being said, when you're an official and you have to make the call ... I think he threw the flag at the right time."

That pretty much destroys the sarcasm argument, and no way he is just being politically correct with that.

I think it clears it up, but you do have to wonder how much of it is politicking on Miles' part.

I just think a little more discretion could have been shown on the part of the ref. Seriously, it was a punter scoring his first TD. I personally thought he should have thrown the flag in the end zone and been done with it, but I think he really was making a point to use the new rule, which needs to be taken off the books.

Seriously, that flag ruined the most exciting play of the weekend in college football. Hell, they had 2 plays from the same Division 3 game in the top 5 on Sportscenter.

You can say the flag ruined it. If Wing doesn't taunt, the ref has nothing to call. Wing ruined his own moment.

Wing is not without blame. I'm not saying that he is. It was a stupid move on his part, but he's a freaking punter, man. I don't expect a punter to "act like you've been there before." In fact, I would expect most punters to act like they just scored the winning TD in the Super Bowl.

Again, I have no issue with the taunting penalty, I just thought a little discretion could have placed it in the end zone when he celebrated with the fans.

You have your opinion, I have mine.
