How many people would care this much about the rule if it was against any other team?

Let's say LaMichael James did it against Cal and had a touchdown called back.

How many people on here would still be attacking this call as a bull shite call?

My guess is most people on here would be laughing at him and saying he deserved it.

A celebration should never have the ability to change the course of a game. If this were to happen say in the 4th quarter of the bama game while down by three then it could cost a national championship. Thats bullshite.

Some rules are meant to be broken. This was not egregious. Dancing, flipping, pointing....those have more grounds. The previous rule for this was fine. Taking away a touchdown goes too far.

Enough with the it's a rule BS.....rules can be changed if they are disputed enough.

I probably agree with you, but I'm not quite sure what a "commie bitch argument" is.

If anything, the penalty should have been assessed on the kick off. They have pussified college football.

Wing was credited with a 44 yard run to the 8, where the 15 yard penalty was assessed to the 23.

that's not bad. and we got 3 on the board, which we would not have gotten without his run.

even good things can be hated.

Let's look at the whole context here. First thing to keep in mind is...shady SEC office and its officials regarding UF, AU, and UA.

Now go to the play before Wing's TD. Wing just pinned UF at the 7 yard line. Trailing 0-14 and a 93 yard field, the SEC officials intervened in what was about to turn into an ugly game fast by calling an illegal formation on LSU. Five men in the backfield was the call. The replay clearly showed 4 in the backfield and it really wasn't close to appear as 5, unless you choose any of the 7 players that were on the LOS as being 1 or 2 inches further back.

The whole point was the officials felt the need for intervention because LSU was not making mistakes and UF desperately needed anything other than a 93 yard field. Viola the fanthom formation call.

Now if the SEC officials had to make up a BS penalty the play before Wing's TD in order to prevent UF's will to not be broken and tanking, then the chance of at least one official was going to take the opportunity and call that whole 0.25 second ordeal in real time of Wing's celebration in which the football was faceing the sideline intead of the UF players, no finger pointing, and the body angle more towards the endzone than the pursuing UF players and interpted it as "egregios taunting" to order prevent a 21-0 1st qrt.

Later in the 2nd half while an SEC representative was defending the SEC referee that made the earlier horendous "egregios taunting" call, that same referee allowed UF to get away with a more obvious horse collar infraction and a more obvious "throat-slash" taunt.

As for as the agenda here, intervention was allowed to prevent a 1st half blow-out and keeping LSU's victory over UF being less impressive than Bama's victory.

There is some power in TigerDroppings for creating the national image of "The Hat" and "Honey Badger". Word needs to get out that it is in the best interest of LSU, to have its remaining games officiated by non-SEC officials. Not going to happen, but I'm a fool me once... shame on you, fool me twice... shame on me kinda guy and how many times LSU will continue to allow SEC officials to sabotage certain games to benefit UA, AU, and UF. This year, UA's turn again.

It is time for LSU to present evidence to the NCAA of past games vs AU and UA in which we were deliberately hosed, and yes, there is enough evidence to at least get media attention, and try to avoid the "fool me twice...shame on me" stigma and demand the NCAA to at least consider "non-SEC officials" for remaining games.

As great as this LSU team is, it has zero chance of an undefeated season with SEC corruption. We will get non-SEC officials in our bowl game and blow out a top 10 team, but will lose a game or two in our own conference due to bias against LSU. That's just the way it is.

Good reply. It amazes me that so many LSU fans(?) are anti Les Miles. He is one great coach with a great style, lots of guts, and a definite scheme for great and surprising calls - AT ANYTIME- during the game regardless of the score. That was one of his greatest calls - especially - following the penalty. The opposing staff had to be worried about another "Winger" landing inside the 10 yd line. Being close to Penn State, that would never happen in JOPA land. There, there is NO imagination whatsoever. I applaud the LSU staff for vision and guts to try such a play. Perfect call; perfect timing. Geaux Tigers!!! Let's also give credit to the staff for signing Wing. He is a tremendous asset. One of the best placement punters I have ever seen.
