And even a guy like Chris Curry, who is transferring and is far from the most talented player we’ve ever had here, will be remembered as a great Tiger because of the heart and leadership he showed in a moment of significant adversity.
He’d be on my all time LSU team way way way before a lot of guys with ten times the talent but one tenth the heart. And that includes Arik Gilbert.

The reason a lot of these players quit or make selfish decisions that hurt the team is that they’ve never been called out and have never had to face the consequences of their actions.

Look, I don't like quitting something just like everyone else, and I believe in sticking to something at all costs, but unless it's my children or someone asking for advice, how can someone put down another that has a change of heart? I wonder how many of these posters and their name calling come from people who have never CHANGED THEIR MIND on anything in their life?

That’s the problem with this world, people keep coddling, instead of calling a spade a spade and teaching to stick to your commitment. Finish the season and then “change your mind”.

Fwiw Arik is an a-hole for quitting on his team mid season. I think that’s pretty mild to what he really is, but I don’t want to get banned.
