Ya, I'm pissed we let that one slip away. But, I've never seen so many charges called in a game before. The intend of a charge was an offensive player bulling his way through a defensive player on the way to the goal.

Texas Tech pussy asses waited till we jump for the shot and slid under and flopped. bullshite.

I’m sure they are coached to do that.

Tech players are very good at flopping.

I only caught the 2nd half but all of the charges I saw were the correct call.

I’m sorry but you can’t call a charge of the defender is not set before the offensive player is in air. That happened a number of times. Specifically Gaines charge. There were at least 2 others with very minimal contact that were flops.

Specifically Gaines charge.

The charge call on Gaines was a horrible call, you can easily see the defender slide in after Gaines left his feet.

Uh...no. Not even close.

The officials did not have a good day. But then again, they seemed to have this vague intent of "letting the guys play."

As a result, they were inconsistent with charging and blocking calls all day. And there was constant hard contact under the baskets that was not called.

Not saying it was biased towards one team or another. Just saying the officiating was a problem.

The refs did let TT slide under. Really bush league play. The charge on Thomas down the stretch was especially awful..

No doubt coached to slide under. Having played a long time ago... every once in a while would play a team that did this.

Offensive players must be given space to land. If the block/charge contact is made with the offensive player on the way down after the shot, that is a block...didn't give him a place to land.

If the contact is made as the offensive player is going upwards, that means you beat him to the spot and it should be a charge. That was not the case yesterday. Almost every charge called was with the LSU shooter on the way down from his jump. Bad calls.

One good charge I remember was Watford pushing off trying to bulldoze his way into the lane, as usual.

You need to re-watch it then.

I think the refs were bullied by the TT HC into those charging calls ; The announcers even mentioned that TT knew that LSU likes to take the kinda shots that allow the D to get under a d slide into the contact.

It was pure BS and that TT HC would not shut his trap the entire game, clearly he’s a good coach but at some point the reds need to T him up

Yeah....that was a horrible call. What’s crazy to me is that they’ll call a charge on someone who was already airborne before the defender was set, but they’ll allow a shooter to jump laterally into a defender jumping straight up and call a foul on the defense. That is completely backwards.
