Confidence comes when your players can execute the game plan. That has not been the case this year.

Bama is executing the game plan. Next year Saban will have similar challenges replacing a seasoned QB and probably a dominant OL. Recruiting can replace those guys but until they get experience there will be costly mistakes in a SEC game that will determine the outcome. Every team goes through it, LSU in 2002 was not as good as LSU in 2001, LSU in 2004 was not as good as LSU in 2003. Same thing this year, LSU in 2008 is not the team it was in 2007 from both personnel and leadership.

BTW, Bama fans are not the only ones saying we will win, look around.

Predicting, saying you will win is fine and dandy.Saying Alabama will destroy LSU is another. Its absurd.

I remember Saban in 2004 complaining about the unrealistic expectations coming off the 03 title.

Can you imagine if Bama does go on to win it this year and the Bama reaction going forward when they lose games here and there they are favored in. Saban will go ballistic.

If Bama doesn't play for it all this year, he better watch out for bricks through his window.

That's so far from accurate. This year has exceeded expectation for the team.

The reason for the confidence is the product that is being displayed by both teams this year.
LSU is an undisciplined out of position half arse effort team this year so far, and that's not going to beat this Bama team.

Dude, you can question our play calling and coaches, but dont ever question our teams effort. Understoodd? Dont put that blame on 19 year old kids.

Yea, I think a few of us (hopefully myself, crimsoncutie98 and others) aren't too out of touch. Of course we want bama to win... but no way in hell am I assuming we're going to win - much less by 21+ pts.

You'd be suprised - there are a lot of rational bama fans out there now a days!
Years of getting our arse handed to us on a platter tends to do that! :)

Alright, I'll take back the effort, but something is missing.

You are right. LSU is a tough team and will play Bama hard. No one knows till the game is over.

unlike the bama team that played KY, Tulane, and Ole Miss this year? What is it with Bama fans and selective memory?

Our defense has been extremely overrated this year and we gave up 50 twice.

We played GA and FL and got beat down bad. We havent beaten anyone "good"

Are you really this much of a space cadet?

I-59 Is reading comprehension a challenge for you?

Quote from Bama fan that I responded to:

This is because any rational person can discern that LSU doesn't really have a legit shot at winning.
