No need to read anything else.
Although if true, it makes Ed seem even more incompetent.
I’m off the EO train even if they win 11 games. The guy is a clown.

Bum never said it. You’re proving what an idiot you are

will give you that there are some dumbazzes in the 90%, but settle down, Francis.
I am not as out of control as it seems just so tired of these fire everyone after 2 games crowd. Just stirring the pot and flushing out the true ignorant and quitters.
Francis will lighten up Seargent Hulka. Don't call me Francis my name is physco, LOL!

Why do you pretend 2020 never happened? Why do you think walking-on as a WR for a podunk program that ran a triple option offense gives you any great insight into the 2021 version of college football?

You are the perfect person to give an honest answer to this question:
When UCLA blitzed the shite out of us, why did we not run a draw or screen to counter the blitz?
Maybe because their defensive sets didn't allow it. Maybe we underestimated them. However to not see the distractions with Ida, the move to Houston to practice, the travel to California, the fact that UCLA had a game under their belt and the injuries didn't contribute to that loss is not being honest. A lot of sports media predicted us to lose.
We are a good football team. If I am right at the end of the year at least acknowledge it I will certainly man up and admit I was wrong.

14. I saw 2.9 yards per rush and 30% of rush attempts by QB
From the peanut gallery 90% point of view
I won't even mention the low 3rd down conversions and the impact that has on all phases of the game, because it is above my 90% pay grade.
O could care less about that. He was winning the game no chance for McNeese to win at all. He was resting the injured and getting the line toughened up for SEC play by running plays right into the teeth of the McNeese defense. O nor any other good coach cares about running plays that will make the "fans" happy but not good for the team.
Much like in 2016, 2017 and 2018 when everyone was on my arse about supporting O and Ensminger I proved everyone wrong on another site like this. It will happen again here

We did against UCLA because we had to we had to try everything we were losing. Against McNeese we didn't have to and shouldn't have.
We ran inside zone almost every run play vs UCLA outside a QB sneak or two.
We actually ran a toss play against McNeese.
Come on. I know you were a walk on for a directional school in Louisiana probably before they started recruiting black players but you should have been able to catch that.

In reality as a former college football player 90% of fans know very little about football. They think they do but they don't. I re watched the McNeese game and maybe 10% here on this board understand what that saw the other 90% think they know what they saw.
Amen, amen, amen!
I dont mind engaging in discussion of facts but like you say 90% of the people on here have none and dont know what they saw or how it took place. Most on here just parrot crap they read on here.
I once had the opportunity to attend a Saints game with a former NFL QB many yrs ago and that was when I saw how complex the game was/is. Also I posted on here yesterday that none of us know what is being said on those headsets so we have no idea if problems we see are coaches, players, or both.

As far as my misguided football knowledge compared to you if I took one step on a college football field at practice or at a game that makes me 100 times more knowledgeable than you I bet.
Waterboys step on the field too, yeah?
But for real…
Hugh Freeze, Mike Leach, David Cutcliffe. Some names of guys that didn’t play the sport past HS. Todd Haley coached in the NFL and didn’t play the game.
I suppose you know more than these guys because you stepped on the field. What a pathetic take.

As a former college football player
I don’t have to be a master mechanic to know when I’m getting a good ride from my car and when I’m not.
When you gain less than 50 yds running the ball against a defense that was ranked worse than 70 the year before, I don’t have to be an ex player to know that the OL is not performing as should be expected at LSU.
You might know more football X and O than some of those who didn’t play the game at the college level, but that certainly doesn’t mean we don’t know good football when we see it and when we don’t.

Dude, it doesn’t take a player to break down film. As I’ve pointed out, the game is morphing into something different. This isn’t some “back in my day we did three yards and a cloud of dust” bullshite. The offensive game is about space, angles, percentages, matchups, etc.
You are a damned fool if you think walking on at USL 50 years ago somehow qualifies you to have expert opinions on the game in 2021. Technology, training, dieting, and pretty much every other aspect of the sport has changed since your era. You can probably tell some decent battle stories, but that’s where your expert contributions end.
