re: The 2020 schedule is perfect for this football team
The even year schedule is always harder than the odd hear SEC schedule. So frankly I completely disagree with this analysis.

I think Florida, Alabama and Auburn are all toss-ups. Really, you can't accurately predict the schedule until we see the teams play.

Did you read the posts before this game in 2019? There were score predictions of 56-10 and the like

Oct. 10 at Florida (Having a cupcake the week before at home is HUGE here. Florida plays a desperate USC team at home the week before and an SEC game is an SEC game. By this game we will have played 5 games and our team should be firing on all cylinders. I simply think Brennan is better than Trask and predict a close win.)

(...but then, comparing QBs isn't really a good way to pick a winner as they don't play against each other on the field. Think about how many teams LSU has beaten over the last 20 years while having a worse QB than their opponent.)

Florida lost their best running back, their best wide receiver, their best cornerback, and their two best pass rushers.

I'm pretty confident that LSU will be significantly more talented relative to Florida.

Sept. 12 TEXAS (Very thankful we didn't have this series reversed as a road game here would be tough. We will be pumped up for this game as will they and I see us winning comfortably).

(I'm not sure how anyone sees this as a 'comfortable win' seeing as how they return a lot of their offense, including a good QB, and LSU has lost many players off a team that Texas took to the wire.)

I see that Texas game being a very competitive game but LSU will have the advantage cause it will be a home game. Hence, I think LSU will have enough firepower to pull it out.

Very simple. Comes down to which QB does better...

Myles Brennan's supporting cast is greater than Bo Nix's supporting cast. Not to mention, that Auburn also lost the meat of their defense, not only on the defensive line but also in the defensive backfield as well.

I like your effort. I do differ with you on your assessment of Texas and Florida. I think it’s likely that both Ehlinger and Trask are better than Brennan. If it turns out that Brennan is actually better than both Ehlinger and Trask then I think LSU has a legitimate shot at making the CFP. Brennan is the key to LSU’s season. If he turns out to be an elite QB LSU will be a very good team once again.

Ehlinger is certainly going to be the more experienced of the two, but Brennan will have better offensive weapons at his disposal.

With respect to Florida, I don't know if I can say that Trask is better than Brennan. Not to mention that Florida also lost their best running back, their best wide receiver, their best cornerback, and their two best pass rushers.

Texas won’t be an easy win they will have the better QB which is always the ultimate advantage

Maybe but maybe not, nonetheless, Ehlanger will not have the better talent on the field at his disposal. That advantage will be Brennan's advantage.

LSU lost their starting QB, center, left tackle, running back, tight end, and 1b WR and that's just on offense. There're probably not any teams that lost more than LSU this year. I wouldn't use losing players as an advantage for LSU.

re: The 2020 schedule is perfect for this football team
I’m strictly comparing Ehlinger and Trask to Brennan as it concerns their respective abilities to execute the QB position. Trask continued to improve last year to the point where Flippin Felipe didn’t think he could beat him out and he transferred. He knows Florida’s system and he knows where to go with the ball. Certainly, Florida lost some players but you can be certain that they have talent ready to step up that knows the system. Florida will be a challenge every year. Not saying LSU won’t win. LSU may not be able to rely on Brennan as much by those 2 games as it will take some time for him to develop. “IF” you’re right and Brennan proves to be the best of the 3 QB’s then LSU should have another very dangerous team. You’ll never ever see the likes of Joe Burrow and the 2019 season again. Still can’t believe that happened.
